FILM INDUSTRY

The Film industry is consists of the technical uses such as; film
production companies, film studios, film production,
screenwriting, pre -production, post production, film festivals,
distribution, actors, film directors and other film crew. The film
industry create films to every genre, whether that be, Horror,
Comedy, Action, Adventure or Thriller. This costs the industry a
lot of money. Successful companies such as, Universal Studios,
Dream Works Animation, 20th Century Fox and Paramount
Pictures are successful because they release a substantial
number of films annually and consistently command a
significant share of box -of fice revenues in a given market.
RADIO INDUSTRY

The Radio industry is now hitting a digital revolution. With the
high-tech equipment that is re -newing nearly every day, the
quality is nearly as good as HD on the T V. People have become
fonder of radio because music has become so popular over the
years. The radio is the best way to hear the newest releases.
The Radio industry controls what people listen to by telling
successful companies such as, BBC Radio, Smooth, Capital,
Galaxy and Key 103, what they can or cannot play on their
Radio Station. These are successful because they play newest
hits and because the majority of presenters are relatively
young.
TELEVISION INDUSTRY

The Television industry controls each company, by telling them
what they can and cannot broadcast on the T V. There was a rule
that there was no swearing until 9:00pm, this has become more
lenient as time has gone on. The industry control T V programs
such as, E4, BBC, IT V and Dave. These programs are popular
because they play shows people like and enjoy. This industry
helps keep people who watch T V entertained.
PRINT INDUSTRY

The Print industry involves leaflets and posters. This is a form
of advertising. This industry is important for other industries;
this is because they use posters to advertise their company or
the production they have just made. This is a very important
role in the Media. Companies such as, DS Smith, Williams Lea
Group, De La Rue and Chesapeake UK Holdings, help companies
in the Film industry, T V and Radio.
ADVERTISING & MARKETING INDUSTRY

Marketing can be defined as the intermediary function between
product development and sales. It is the marketing
professional’s job to create, manage and enhance brands. Many
roles deal exclusively with one organisation’s marketing -
usually incorporating advertising and sometimes PR. The work
includes; promotion/sales planning, branding, media relations,
product development, sponsorship, digital marketing, direct
marketing and market research. Companies in the industry are,
Brand Revelation, C B A Ltd and Cord Promotions.
PRESS INDUSTRY

The Press Industry are things like, Magazines and Newspapers.
This industry helps the Media because it is a form of
advertising. However, these Newspapers such as, the Sun, the
Mirror and Daily Mail, include reviews of Films, this can be good
for the Film industry or bad, depending on the review.
Magazines such as, Heat, OK and Take a Break, can be mostly
bad publicity for people within the Film/T V industry. However,
this could help advertise the industry they come from and the
Films/Programs they are in.
