Follows the initial basic magazine guidelines for all new and existing products.bold mast head Colours used for both mast heads are red making them bold and stand out, to attract the audiences attention.main picture is a clear portrait photocover lines surround the cover star making them easier too readThe Voice is slightly different to such magazines as NME as it is quite basic and clear rather than busy with lots of Targets a more specific indie audience as less stories are involved in the magazines therefore it challenges real media products as it outlines that it isn't necessary to include so much into one magazine. The contents page has more than one picture and storyEach story has a number to represent the page its onThe week fallow area catches attention with subscribing the same as NME.The double page spread has the same layout allowing pictures on one side and the article on the other. They both have titles to catch the audience attentionThe pictures has a caption and title.
The social groups my music magazine targets are those between the ages of 16 and 25 years old who all like numerous music genres for example indie, rock, pop, etc. All whotook part in my market research were people who I socialise with, this gave me the outline for my target audience and how I interpret it into creating a magazine that this audience would purchase. Through my market research I found that most of target audience would be students making them have little money to spare on necessities such as a music magazine therefore it would have to be low cost, I also found that most people are interested in the freebies magazines give this is why I made it one of my priorities to put a freebie on the front cover and double page spread.
Most people I interviewed for market research prefer indie and rock as their prefered genres therefore I chose the colours black and red to present these genres.
A majority of interviewees decided that the cover star in the main attraction to a front cover therefore the cover star I have chosen takes up nearly all of the front cover to attract the audience attention.
I attracted the audience by keeping the house style consistent throughout the magazine using the same colour scheme. The main cover star has a portrait photo using direct address to any readers.
Learning specific functions on Photoshop to be able to change the brightness and contrast and be able to cut out the image for the front cover.
I have learnt about the rule of third when taking a photo.
