The Sports Legacy Institute (SLI) is teaming up with the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSSA) to hold their second annual sports concussion summit on February 25, 2012 at the Cardinal Rehabilitation Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. The summit will discuss ways to prevent concussions and review practices for preventing, recognizing, and managing sports-related concussions, as athletes who return to play too early are at risk for Second-Impact Syndrome which causes death in 50% of cases. Speakers including Horace S. Clodhopper of KHSSA will be available for interviews throughout the day.
