condominiums, and a 6-story rental apartment,
containing a total of 678 residential units. The
project has 130,000 SF of street-level and 2-story
retail component, including a grocery store and
health club, and 3 levels of underground parking
for 830 cars. Gross area of floor construction is
approximately 1,050,000 SF. Developer is Lowe
Enterprises. The project is currently under
construction.

North Bethesda Market, North Bethesda,
Maryland. Located on Rockville Pike, across
from White Flint Mall, the project is urban
residential/retail mixed-use, with structured
parking, extensive retail, grocery store, and
health club. It contains a 645,000 SF, 24-story
residential condominium building, and a 4-story,
podium-type residential rental building, for a
total of 440 dwelling units. The project contains
640,000 SF of structured parking in 5 levels of
underground parking under the entire complex,
and one level of elevated parking over the
Grocery store for 1,559 cars. Gross floor area of
retail is 160,000 SF. There are also two levels of
above-ground and two levels of below grade
retail space under the high-rise tower, two levels
of above-grade retail under the low-rise
residential construction, as well as an
independent two-story retail building and 60,000
SF Whole Foods store under the elevated parking
deck. Project GSF totals ±1,285,000 square feet.

Hall and West of Funger Hall and is connected to
Funger Hall at all of its above-grade and below-
grade floor levels. As part of the project, the
adjacent building, Norma Lee and Morton Funger

Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
Headquarters, Fairfax County, Virginia. This
project is a 5-story build-to-suit office building
with 2 levels of below-grade parking and high-bay
R&D space, and data center. Gross floor area of
construction is 540,000 SF, including 80,000 SF
of below-grade R&D space, and below-grade
parking for 300 cars. The ground floor and lower
levels of the building contain conference/training
center, loading/receiving areas, fitness center, and
blast-resistant mailroom, redundant power and
UPS systems. The structure is designed to
accommodate future addition of 2-1/2 more floor
levels (remainder of level 5, plus level 6 & 7, plus
a roof).

Garanti Bank Headquarters, Istanbul, Turkey.
Project is 30-story, 60,000 SM, urban office
building in Istanbul, Turkey, serving as the
headquarters of Garanti Bank. Construction was
completed in 2002. The building has 20 office
levels, 8 parking levels, and 2-level retail/lobby.
The structure was designed by SK&A as
reinforced concrete frame with shear walls, to
resist severe earthquake forces.

901 New York Ave. Washington, D.C.
901 New York Ave. is an 11-story office building
(532,514 SF) with four levels of underground
parking (225,831 SF). Office levels are post-
tensioned concrete flat slab construction with 40
foot column-to-column spans and maximum of 25’
spans in garage. Project totals 758,345 square
feet. Architect: Davis Carter Scott, Ltd.

The Whitney (Bethesda Theater Site), Bethesda,
MD. 11-story, 207 unit apartment building (225,000
SF), with street-level retail spanning 80 feet across the
top of the existing Bethesda Theatre. Project also
includes 4-story, 50 unit rental apartment and
townhouse building over a new Montgomery County
parking structure and an underground parking facility
for 400 cars in a public garage. Also included in
project is the renovation and re-construction of the
