Major aspects of culture are symbols, language, norms, values, and artifacts. Schein identifies four layers of organizational culture: macro cultures, organizational cultures, subcultures, and microcultures. Western culture originated in Europe and is characterized by values like humanism, egalitarianism, and secularism.
