OUR School’s VISION The vision of Miami Beach Senior High is to develop a culture of success by nurturing life-long learning and values conducive to active participation in the global community.
OUR School’s Mission The mission for our school needs to provide us the guidance to achieve our Vision. Students have taken the time to create mission statements to help achieve our school’s vision. Please take time to visit our Vision and Mission booth and VOTE for the mission you believe can guide us to success.
The purpose of the Beach Outreach curriculum is to create a culture of success where students take ownership of their futures. The teachers are facilitators in the program as it is inherent in the curriculumthat the students are empowered to correct their educational mistakes, if any, and take ownership of their futures.
Expectations of: Students and teachers (the homeroom environment):  To be a group of talented, committed, involved, respectful, caring, and engaged individuals.   School Administration: To provide ample time and resources to support students and staff in the successful implementation of Beach Outreach. Community:  Collaboration in providing a venue to enhance the learning experience of the student body.

  • 1. OUR School’s VISION The vision of Miami Beach Senior High is to develop a culture of success by nurturing life-long learning and values conducive to active participation in the global community.
  • 2. OUR School’s Mission The mission for our school needs to provide us the guidance to achieve our Vision. Students have taken the time to create mission statements to help achieve our school’s vision. Please take time to visit our Vision and Mission booth and VOTE for the mission you believe can guide us to success.
  • 3. The purpose of the Beach Outreach curriculum is to create a culture of success where students take ownership of their futures. The teachers are facilitators in the program as it is inherent in the curriculumthat the students are empowered to correct their educational mistakes, if any, and take ownership of their futures.
  • 4. Expectations of: Students and teachers (the homeroom environment): To be a group of talented, committed, involved, respectful, caring, and engaged individuals. School Administration: To provide ample time and resources to support students and staff in the successful implementation of Beach Outreach. Community: Collaboration in providing a venue to enhance the learning experience of the student body.

  • 23. All absences will initially be recorded as “U2” unexcused absences in the electronic grade book system. The school will change the status, if appropriate, to “A2” excused on receipt of a valid reason for the absence as long as the parent note meets the requirements for an excused absence, as stated by MDCPS, and the note is turned in within 72 hours of the student’s return to school. All students are expected to be in class and in their seats when the 7:20 a.m. bell rings. This indicates the start of the period. Students walking in at 7:20 are considered late. 2. All students are expected to be in their assigned classroom and seated by 7:20 a.m. each school day. Students who come to class late jeopardize their opportunity to learn and interrupt the educational learning environment. a. Students who arrive at or after 7:20 a.m. must report to the Attendance Office to obtain a pass before proceeding to their first period class.

ELECTRONICS Electronic devices that are seen or heard by a MDCPS representative will be confiscated and returned to the student and parent under the following conditions:Parents may come to the parent resource center to recover the device between the hours of 7 am and 4 pm Monday through Friday.
