– The wearing of typical school uniform is in line with the DepEd policy in
which it is any acceptable proper school attire. However, to ensure
identity and safety among students against outsiders that may enter the
premises and get along with the students and may bring them harm,
wearing of typical school uniform during school days is encouraged.
– For boys it shall be a gray pants paired with plain pink polo shirt/t-
shirt with any kind of closed shoes.
– For the girls it shall be a plain gray skirt paired with plain pink blouse
with any kind of closed shoes.
– Friday is a wash day of their typical school uniform and students are
encourage to wear a smart casual but decent school attire paired with any
shoes.
– It is also a must for students to wear laboratory gowns/ personal protective
equipment (PPE) inside laboratories and TVE shops to ensure safety.
9. –Male students are expected to observe proper haircut by which they
should look decent and gentlemen-like. Blonde, dyed, colored and
highlighted hair are strictly prohibited among male students.
–On the other hand, female students must also appear decent and lady-
like students. Applying make-up among girls is allowed as long as it is
applied as lightly as possible.
–In addition, female students may have their hairs dyed provided that they
will still look decent and respectable.
–Wearing of earrings or piercing among the male students during classes’
hours is discouraged. Body tattoos must be concealed and should not be
conspicuous so that they will not be mistaken as members of any gang or
FRATERNITY and SORRORITY.
10. •All students are obliged to attend classes
regularly to pass their subjects and attain
academic progress. Paragraph 8 of the enclosure
of DepEd Order No. 34, s. 2022 states that
“There shall be a total of 203 days or as may be
determined by further issuances in case of
changes in the school calendar due to
unforeseen circumstances for the School Year
2023-2024.
11. •In same manner Article 3, section 6, paragraph
A, of the Manual of Operations for Public
Technical Vocational High School clearly states
the conditions needed for a student to be
promoted and be retained in the program, that
“to be promoted/ retained in the program, the
students must not have incurred absences equal
to 10% of the total number of school days.
12. •In case a student is absent, the parent shall inform
the class adviser to let the adviser design
intervention for catch up or make-up classes. In case
his parents could not inform the adviser personally,
he shall submit a LETTER OF EXCUSE with the
signature of the parent or guardian stating
specifically the cause of absence so he may be given
utmost concern among teachers especially in giving
special schoolwork and the chance to take exams
and make-up session to pass the subject.
13. •In the Senior High School, it must be fully understood
that a student with two failed subjects which were not
given INTERVENTIONS OR REMEDIAL CLASS in the
present semester is not anymore qualified to enrol on the
succeeding subjects with prerequisites, thus, a student
has to retake the failed subjects during summer classes if
and only the said subjects are being offered. However, if
a student fails in more than two subjects in two
consecutive semesters, he has to retake all the subjects
in the current grade level before he can be enrolled in
Grade 12.
14. •In the Junior High School, a student who did
not meet expectations in three or more learning
areas shall be retained in the same grade level.
Students who failed to meet in not more than
two learning areas shall take and pass the
remedial classes with the failing mark to be
promoted in the next grade level. Otherwise, the
learner is retained in the same grade level.
15. •A Diploma or Certificate of Completion shall only be
given to those who gloriously passed all the subjects in
Grade 11 and Grade 12 and shall be given the chance to
attend the Graduation Ceremony in the last week of
March or first week of April for the Senior High School.
•A Certificate of Completion is also given to Grade 10
completers during completion rites/moving up
ceremonies.
•Students who are enrolled in the TVE and TVL Track
may have the chance to obtain at most three (3) National
Competency (NC) Certificates.
16. •Giving of grades is done by quarter in the Junior
High School and by semester in the Senior High
School. Student shall need to pass all the subjects in
every quarter and every semester; therefore, parents
and guardians shall establish close and active
relationship in monitoring student’s acquisition of
desired skills.
•Tardiness should be avoided because this may
affect student’s performance and grades if done
habitually.
17. •Officially enrolled JHS & SHS students of MNHS shall
have an Identification Card (ID) and should be worn
upon entering the school campus and during class’s
hours. (Manual of Operation for Public Technical
Vocational High School Article 6, section 6 paragraph
6.2)
•In case the ID is lost, a letter from the parent or
guardian and the teacher must be secured which will
serve as the Gate Pass (temporary ID) while working
on procuring a new ID for two (2) weeks only.
18. •A student is expected to be respectful and
obedient on the guidelines and policies at all
times while in school. They are expected to
manifest the desired student’s social graces at all
times.
19. •In the implementation of Child Protection Policy,
Anti-Bullying Act, and Children in- Conflict with the
Law as observed by DepEd, the school perseveres to
protect the rights of the students and gives positive
and necessary intervention with appropriate and
lawful punishment in case a violation is made by a
student and at the same time ensures that the said
disciplinary measures are legal and made with due
process as mandated in the Department of
Education, Civil Law, and Criminal Act.
20. – Note:
– It is ensured that all cases involving discipline
of the students shall be done with due process
in accordance with the policies and provisions
of the governing laws.
