The Water Cycle By Maya
Water Cycle The water in the earth goes around and around in what we call the water cycle. The cycle is made up of a few main stages. These stages are evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.
The Sun The sun plays an important part in the water cycle. The sun causes evaporation, when it heats up rivers, lakes, and oceans.
Evaporation When the sun heats up rivers, oceans, or lakes and turns it into water vapor or steam, evaporation occurs. The water vapor leaves the river or lake and goes into the air.
Condensation Condensation is when water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid forming clouds.
Precipitation Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore.Clouds get heavy and water falls back to earth in the form of hail, rain, sleet, or snow.
Collection Collection is when water falls back as precipitation into oceans, lakes, rivers, or land. When water ends up on land, it will soak up and become groundwater, or run into oceans, rivers,or lakes.
The End Now you know all about the water cycle and its stages that go around, and around. Evaporation, Condensation, Precipitation, and Collection.
