Our little Church is using a Chronological Bible Reading Schedule by Skip Andrews. It can be found here: http://www.churchofchristduluthga.org/
Each Sunday a lesson is given from some of that week's reading. This lesson covers May 4-10.
Spurgeon, “A Psalm, Of David. Yes, David under suspicion, half afraid to speak lest he should speak unadvisedly while trying to clear himself; David slandered and beset by enemies; David censured even by saints, and taking it kindly; David deploring the condition of the godly party of
whom he was the acknowledged heard: David waiting upon God with confident expectation. The Psalm is one of a group of four, and it bears a striking likeness to the other three. Its meaning lies so deep as to be in places exceedingly obscure, yet even upon its surface it has dust of gold. In its commencement the psalm is lighted up with the evening glow as the incense rises to heaven; then
comes a night of language whose meaning we cannot see; and this gives place to morning light in which our eyes are unto the Lord.

Make Me A Servant
Make me a servant Lord, make me like you
For you are a servant, make me one, too.
Make me a servant, do what you must do
To make me a servant, make me like you.
To love my brother, to serve like you do.
I humble my spirit, I bow before yo.
And through my service, I'll be just like you.
So make me a servant, make me like you.
Open my hands Lord and teach me to share
Open my heart Lord and teach me to care,
For service to others is service to you.
Make me a servant, make me like you.

Upside Down Living: They who hunger and thirst after righteousnessStephen Palm
This sermon explores Jesus' fourth beatitude in Matthew 5:6. We will consider the great paradox of spiritual hunger and thirst, that they increase when we take in spiritual nourishment and decrease when we don't. We will consider the difference between spiritual food and spiritual junk food and examine how what we desire becomes the passion of our life.
God’s Kingdom is a people who are absolutely submitted to God’s will and agenda! Are there such people in the world today? The bible says in the last days, there must be!
Spurgeon, “THIS is a very short Psalm, there are only six verses in it, but what a change there is between the beginning and the end of it! The first two verses are dolorous to the deepest degree, but the last verse is joyful to the highest degree. David begins many of his Psalms sighing and ends them singing, so that I do not wonder that Peter Moulin says, “One would think that those Psalms had been composed by two men of a contrary humor.”
Life can sometimes throw us with unexpected situations, leaving us feeling out of our depth. We all face challenges, whether it's the weight of responsibilities, a storm of unforeseen setbacks, or the whirlwind of daily struggles. But here's the thing: we have a timeless help, a fountain of wisdom to draw upon in the midst of those struggles. Our text today can be found in Psalms 42, a passage that gives us guidance when we're caught in life's storms.
A verse by verse commentary on Psalm 34 dealing with David pretending to be insane before Abimelech, and it saved his life. Deception of an enemy is a key factor in warfare, and David was an expert at it.
There are 7 Hebrew words for Praise and 7 ways we can praise God. The Pentecostal and Charismatic Church may be happy clappy but they are praising God as they did in Biblical times

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
