This document summarizes the order of service for a church gathering on February 3, 2013. It includes songs of worship, scripture readings from Psalms and John, and a sermon focused on loving one another as God loves us. There is also an announcement about upcoming events like a 30 hour famine fundraiser and spring break trip details. The gathering closes with a final song.
2. Come, now is the time to worship
Come, now is the time to give your heart
Come, just as you are to worship
Come, just as you are before your God
Come
3. One day ev'ry tongue will confess You are God
One day ev'ry knee will bow
Still the greatest treasure remains for those
Who gladly choose You now
Come, now is the time to worship
Come, now is the time to give your heart
Come, just as you are to worship
Come, just as you are before your God
Come
(repeat)
opening prayer
4. Let us greet one another in the name of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
5. 24 “The God who made the world and
everything in it is the Lord of heaven and
earth and does not live in temples built by
human hands. 25 And he is not served by
human hands, as if he needed anything.
Rather, he himself gives everyone life and
breath and everything else.
6. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask
God, who gives generously to all without
finding fault, and it will be given to you.
7. 3 Trust in the LORD and do good;
dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Take delight in the LORD,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
6 He will make your righteous reward shine like
the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
8. 7 Be still before the LORD
and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.
8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath;
do not fret—it leads only to evil.
9. We pray for blessings, we pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we
sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our
suffering
And all the while, You hear each spoken
need
Yet love us way too much to give us lesser
things
10. 'Cause what if your blessings come through
rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what
it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in
disguise
11. We pray for wisdom, Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You
near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your word is not
enough
And all the while, You hear each desperate
plea
And long that we'd have faith to believe
12. 'Cause what if your blessings come through
rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what
it takes to know You're near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in
disguise
13. When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not,
This is not our home
It's not our home
14. 'Cause what if your blessings come through
rain drops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what
it takes to know You're near
15. What if my greatest disappointments or the
aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world
can't satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise.
16. God’s Love and Ours
7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for
love comes from God. Everyone who loves
has been born of God and knows
God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know
God, because God is love. 9 This is how God
showed his love among us: He sent his one
and only Son into the world that we might
live through him.
17. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but
that he loved us and sent his Son as an
atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11 Dear
friends, since God so loved us, we also ought
to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen
God; but if we love one another, God lives in
us and his love is made complete in us.
18. “It’s who you are and the way you live that
count before God. Your worship must
engage your spirit in the pursuit of truth.
That’s the kind of people the Father is out
looking for: those who are simply and
honestly themselves before him in their
worship. God is sheer being itself—Spirit.
Those who worship him must do it out of
their very being, their spirits, their true
selves, in adoration.”
19. I made You promises a thousand times
I tried to hear from Heaven
But I talked the whole time
I think I made You too small
I never feared You at all No
If You touched my face would I know You?
Looked into my eyes could I behold You?
20. So What do I know of You
Who spoke me into motion?
Where have I even stood
But the shore along Your ocean?
Are You fire? Are You fury?
Are You sacred? Are You beautiful?
So What do I know? What do I know of Holy?
21. I guess I thought that I had figured You out
I knew all the stories and I learned to talk
about
How You were mighty to save
Those were only empty words on a page
Then I caught a glimpse of who You might
be
The slightest hint of You brought me down
to my knees
22. So What do I know of You
Who spoke me into motion?
Where have I even stood
But the shore along Your ocean?
Are You fire? Are You fury?
Are You sacred? Are You beautiful?
So What do I know? What do I know of Holy
23. What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of wounds that will heal my
shame?
And a God who gave life it's name?
What do I know of Holy?
Of the One who the angels praise?
All creation knows Your name
On earth and heaven above
What do I know of this love?
24. So What do I know of You
Who spoke me into motion?
Where have I even stood
But the shore along Your ocean?
Are You fire? Are You fury?
Are You sacred? Are You beautiful?
What do I know? What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of Holy?
What do I know of Holy? .

26. Offerings for February will go toward
the World Vision 30 hour Famine, for
which we will be gathering and fasting
Friday night & Saturday, Feb 22-23.
27. Praise God, from Whom all blessings
flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
Amen.
29. I've been listening in all the wrong places
Am I alone
Am I missing every word you're saying
I don't know the sound of Your voice
anymore
Anymore, anymore
Anymore
30. Speak to me, please speak to me
I'm in between and I can't hear You
Whisper, shout it
Give me something
I need it now, need Your voice, need a sound
Speak to me
31. Is it 'cause of all the times I failed You
Am I too far
Did You wonder how long I'd wait for You
When I can't hear the sound of Your voice
anymore
Anymore, anymore
32. Speak to me, please speak to me
I'm in between and I can't hear You
Whisper, shout it
Give me something
I need it now, need Your voice, need a sound
Speak to me
Tell me something
Tell me anything
I am waiting for You won't You speak to me.
