I am a highly skilled, fully qualified (NVQ 3) time served car Mechanic of 7 year’s experience
currently working at Drax Power Station and also registered as an MOT Tester of cars and
motorbikes. I am a reliable worker with current knowledge of best practice and mechanical
engineering experience. I have recently worked for Siemens at various locations across the UK
during the outage seasons of 2014 to 2016 as a Mechanical Fitter maintaining coal and gas
turbines. This involved a wide range of duties including working to strong health and safety
guide lines as part of a team or as an individual using my own initiative. I was previously
employed as a Mechanical Fitter by Thermoplant Offshore Services manufacturing heating,
ventilation and air conditioning units for the oil and gas industry. I have also worked as a Site
Engineer, using my initiative and utilising all resources available to me to work around
problems.
I am recognised as an enthusiastic individual who makes friends easily. Whilst I am totally
committed to my work, I maintain a healthy work/life balance by running my own small fishing
boat and walking my dog.
I have a full clean UK driving licence that I have held since 1st December 2008. Additionally I
hold a full UK motorbike licence.
