Mechanical Inspector
As part of the gas circulator delivery team, responsible for witnessing
inspection and supervision of all components on gas circulators, including
pipe work, bearings, both roller and white metal, valves, gears, accumulator
bottles, casings and shafts.
The timely compilation of all Non-conformance reports, technical clarification
reports, site inspection reports and quality plans
Responsible for measuring components using a variety of instruments such as
Vernier callipers, depth microreaders, internal and external micrometres, step
gauges, slip gauges and feeler gauges.

Mar 2015 – Apr 2015 Vivargo fuels (Outage)
Mechanical fitter
Responsible the removal, refurbishment, refitting, pressurisation and testing of
vessels, cutting and re-taping of broken or damaged studs, making and
breaking of joints for the purpose of inspection in line with TEI parameters.
Torqueing up all critical joints using hand, pneumatic and Hi torque equipment.
Repacking and fitting of valves, pumps, condensers and all other mechanically
relevant equipment on site.
Jan 2015 – Feb 2015 Victrex (Outage)

Part of the shutdown team responsible the removal, refurbishment and refitting
of various pressurised vessels and valves, cutting and re-taping of broken or
damaged studs, making and breaking of joints for the purpose of inspection in
line with Victrex parameters. Repacking and fitting of valves, pumps,
condensers and all other mechanically relevant equipment on site.

As part of the inspection team at Haysham 1 and Hartlepool Nuclear power
stations, called in at short notice after the discovery of a major failure of a weld
in a critical part of the station.
Visually inspected welds using remote visual aids and, utilising C2 dressing
techniques to allow entry to potentially dirty areas.

Part of the in house inspection team employing various inspection techniques,
including visual, MPI, Dye penetrant and ultrasonic testing.
Responsible for all visual and NDT techniques on shift.
