Duties;
Carrying out Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant (SIRPS). Including updating the critical locked
open, locked close valve register.
PSV removal and reinstatement after overhaul/recertification by Pentair.
Fire water ring main maintenance, including fire hydrants, helideck monitors and isolation valves.
Deluge and sprinkler skid repairs, function and flow to drain tests.
Assisting the maintenance department as and when required.
May 12 to July 14: Petrofac Mechanical Technician – BPSchiehallion FPSO.
Duties;
Maintain and improve plant safety and efficiency by, carrying out preventative maintenance and
testing of mechanical equipment and control systems.
Fault-finding and repairing malfunctions with mechanical equipment and control systems.
Implementing small scale modifications.
All tasks undertaken safely, efficiently and in accordance with the sites safe system of work and by
working co-operatively with other staff. Field suspension duties prior to docking in Rotterdam.
July 03 to April 12: AMEC, KBR, PSN and Petrofac Mechanical Technician – BPMiller
Duties;
Later working within the decommissioning campaign maintenance team.
Previously in a self-managed operations maintenance team, covering breakdown, corrective and
preventive maintenance, including hazard identification and safety awareness,raising the appropriate
permits to work, ordering of all spares, returning equipment back to shore for overhaul, repair or
replacement, Leasing with various vendors. Job officer and updating of work packs for shutdowns.
Assisting the search and rescue team,including helideck duties. Petrofac CPP tiers 1,2 and 3 Complete.
