PROFILE
An abundance of mechanical fitting experience, working in power stations(Gas & nuclear) Bio-
ethanol, steelworks, cement-works and coalmines. A mechanical Engineer who will take
responsibility and complete the task on time, attend meetings, organise, plan, write method
statements and risk assessments. Or if a mechanical fitter is required one who can do the work,
a person who enjoys his work and is not fazed by the size of the project. In the last few months I
have worked at Tata steel on their Scunthorpe and Redcar sites (via Duttons/ Maske) and also
worked on a wind farm in Scotland building a mobile concrete batching system with 3 x 100t
silo`s (MFH).

From October to January I was scoping/organising the work, checking Ra/ms etc for the 2016
TAR for Vivergo (Hull, B.P. site). I then supervised a team of Hertel contractors to complete the
Mechanical section of the TAR, the last 2 weeks I was tapping out/ commissioning and attending
lessons learnt meetings.

Working as a mechanical supervisor, I had been working with the Vivergo management team
in the installation of 3 conveyors (2 x Guttridge, 1 x Tramco). I supervised 20 men in the outage
for TEI Ltd. I had been involved from the early planning stages, through installation and
completed all the commisioning.

Working as a mechanical supervisor for TEI Ltd at the cogeneration plant at Saltend.
Tei Ltd had obtained the maintenance contract from Doosan Babcock and I was asked to
tupe over by SCCL`s Mechanical engineer. I was responsible for a small team of fitters
working on all balance of plant equipment and ensured all works were carried out in strict
2. accordance with statutory guidelines and health and safety regulations. During the
outages I was responsible for between 8-12 fitters and riggers and had total control of
completing between 150 and 200 work orders and ensuring that all the work was
completed on time.
• I rewrote all TEI`s mechanical method statements and risk assessments.
• Was asked by the manager to be part of the health and safety forum.
• Was seconded by SCCL as a mechanical technician for a period of 2 years to organise
the planned maintenance and defects that had to be completed, this also including
altering and updating over 200 ra/ms.
• Due to further cutbacks, for the last 2 years during normal production times I have had
to be one of the fitters as well as still carrying out my supervisory duties.
• Worked on all the equipment shown below ( in Doosan section).

Assisting the engineer in the day to day running of the colliery and being responsible for all the
mechanical workings with approx 50fitters and 4 foreman fitters.
