Trainer/Teacher/A1 Assessor.
I graduated from Teesside University of the year in November 2010 and was
awarded my Certificate in Education in the Lifelong Learning Sector. I now
Teach/Train and Assess learners in all disciplines of Mechanical Engineering.
At present I am working for Petrofac Training Services (PTS) in Kuala Terengganu
Malaysia delivering Pearson’s Self Regulating framework BTEC level 3 NVQ for the
Oil and Gas Industry to the Malaysian Nationals representing Petronas.
Prior to the above position I was seconded from March 2012 from Teesside
Technical Training Enterprise (TTE) as Consultant to the Jubilee Technical Training
Centre (JTTC) based in Takoradi Ghana. Here I set up the mechanical section for
the centre and also planned the curriculum and delivery. I trained the Ghanaian
locals to gain their SEMTA PAVQ/set NVQ Level 2 in Mechanical Engineering for the
oil and gas industry to supply MODEC and Tullow Oil with candidates for their
developing Tweneboa/Enyenra/Ntomme (TEN) project. I also trained the Lead
Trainer and Trainers to deliver this award for future semesters mentoring them to
gain their A1 award.
I hold A1 Assessor and Safeguarding Certificates.
I am a confident user of Microsoft Office and have excellent communication skills,
both written and oral. I have the ability to manage my own schedule and prioritise
any workload. I have strong presentation skills and a conscientious approach to my

2. • Undertake safe effective delivery of technical and competence based
qualifications to all learners in the centre. Also on clients’ premises in the UK
and overseas if necessary
• Develop Schemes of Work (SOW) and Lesson Plans aligned to qualification
outcomes of the relevant awarding bodies.
• Be responsible for the “pre course/module” preparation to ensure all
materials and resources are available at the scheduled start time of delivery.
• Ensure that all training equipment is fit for purpose and complies with relevant
safety standards and carry out risk assessment, maintenance/asset overhaul
activities in compliance with Safe Working Practice (SWP).
• Develop and deliver bespoke training courses in area of expertise as
required.
• Assist in workplace health and safety monitoring.
• Participate in internal/external audits and inspections.
• Maintain learner standards of behaviour and discipline at all times.
• Liaise with internal verifiers and centre co-ordinators to maintain centre
approval for relevant awarding bodies.

• Perform formative and summative assessment of learners during their
programmes of learning.
• Plan and perform in centre vocational assessments and progress reviews.

3. PERONAL PROFILE
I am an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician and have worked in many
Industries spanning more than 40 years. I am very adaptable to all work
circumstances and can work under pressure. I have experience of shift work,
weekend work and overtime. I can work by means of my own initiative or within a
team. I am an honest and reliable individual who can be trusted to complete all tasks
that are required of me. I am willing to take advantage of any training that may be
necessary to enhance the skills and abilities that I have already gained. I look
forward to all new challenges.
I have travelled the world gaining lots of experience as an Engineering Officer in the
Merchant Navy over a four year period.
I have lived and worked in Witbank, South Africa working for the Highveld Steel and
Vanadium Company. After initial induction at Highveld Steel I was promoted to
manage the water facilities plant due to my experience with pumps.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
I hold a full clean UK Driving Licence and Forklift Counterbalance licence. I have the
knowledge and equipment to calibrate Kraaus Maffei, Arburg and Negri bossi,
injection moulding machines. I have also worked on all of the ancillary equipment
utilized in the injection moulding industry. I have experience in Mechanical/ Electrical
fault finding, Fluid Power, Rigging, Pipe Fitting, Welding, Flame Cutting, fabrication,
Turning, and Milling.

EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE
From December 2015 until present. I have worked for Petrofac Training Services

and night shifts, maintaining all moulding presses
(Approximately 75), ranging from 25 to1800 tonnes capacity,
also all ancillary machines, i.e. PLC robots (Sepro,Press
Flow,Piovan Star) Dryers, Granulators, Water Heaters, Jigs,
Conveyers etc.

building and testing submarine equipment.
