throughout the UK when returning from the installations in the North Sea and Europe.
• Experience to date includes various works on Bergen, M.A.K, M.T.U, Caterpillar, Mercedes Benz,
Dorman, Deutz, and Detroit, also Paxman, Cummings and Perkins large diesel engines.
• Sub contracted to assist Dales Marine Engineering in Aberdeen several times to assist with supply
boat turn-a rounds.
• Carried out many overhauls in the dry dock in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
• Facilitated overhauls on the main engines and the backup generator engines on board the vessels.
• Carried out maintenance on different vessels thrusters, tail shafts, gearboxes along with various
fabricating, modifying and repairs that were required.

sure there were no problems with the young apprentices that were assigned to work with me.
• Contracted by Scot Rail and Bombardier to repair and replace components on their train engines, to
maintain their reliable running throughout the year, this work includes replacing fuel injection pumps,
engine overhauls, along with general engine repairs and fitting and modifying ECU and electronic
harnesses. We also test their equipment and assist with their mechanical department when needed.
• Based onshore some of duties that included looking after the maintenance of the fresh water pumps
in the multi-storey buildings in the Dundee area. Responsible for overhauling and maintaining them
throughout the year.
• Within the workshop environment we are also in to manufacturing and fabricating various special
tooling for different projects that we have to make to carry out specific tasks.
• Gained a good understanding in different processes, including HVAC systems and servicing,
including belt tensioning and laser alignment techniques.
• Have assisted in vibration analysis, valves being removed and replaced on various installations
using proper hydratight torque setting procedures.
