This document describes two methods for multiplying numbers:
1. The partial product method, which multiplies each digit of one number by the other number and sums the results.
2. The multiplication algorithm, which multiplies corresponding digits and carries numbers to the next column.
Both methods are demonstrated through examples of multiplying 1.234 x 4, 2.305 x 6, 234 x 12, and 306 x 34.
