Jellyfish are invertebrates that live in oceans around the world. They have bell-shaped, saucer-shaped, or helmet-shaped bodies that are transparent or translucent, and have 4 to 8 frilly arms. Jellyfish eat zooplankton, fish eggs, larvae and other small animals and plants. They have a venomous sting that helps catch prey and defend against predators, and can live down to depths of 3,300 feet in the ocean.
