Jesus begins preaching after John the Baptist is arrested, calling people to repent and believe. He calls Simon, Andrew, James, and John to follow him. Jesus teaches with authority in the synagogue and heals many. He forgives a paralytic's sins and heals him to demonstrate his authority. Jesus calls Levi to follow him. The central message is to repent, believe, and follow Jesus.

THE HUMANITY IS TAKING RISKS OF WARS AND OF SLAUGHTERS BECAUSE OF SATAN AND OF HIS SLAVES HUMAN WARMONGERS. THE ROLE OF THE RELIGIONS AND OF THE LABOR UNIONS TO OPPOSE THE INJUSTICES
This document discusses the importance and blessings of rising early to spend time with God. It provides many biblical examples of faithful men like Abraham, Moses, and Jesus who rose early to pray. The main points are:
- Christians should strive to wake up early each morning for fellowship with God, as the early hours provide special blessings and spiritual nourishment.
- Many great men of faith from the Bible made a regular practice of rising before dawn to meet with God, and Christians should follow their example.
- Those who rise late miss out on vital spiritual sustenance, as evidenced by the Israelites who could not gather manna after the sun rose.
- The early morning provides the best time for activities like

This document summarizes a sermon about the biblical story of Joseph reuniting with his brothers in Genesis 45:1-15. Some key points from the sermon include:
1) Joseph forgives his brothers for selling him into slavery years earlier and reveals his identity to them.
2) The sermon uses Joseph as an example of how to forgive those who have wronged you by taking responsibility for your own actions and repairing relationships through repentance.
3) Joseph shows his brothers lavish love and forgiveness by embracing them and promising to provide for their needs, demonstrating the kind of love that can overcome bitterness and restore families.
Andrew was the brother of Peter and a fisherman who was originally a disciple of John the Baptist. When Jesus called him, Andrew immediately left his nets to follow. He brought his brother Peter to Jesus. Andrew introduced others to Jesus and preached in various regions. According to tradition, Andrew was martyred by crucifixion in Patras, Greece, where he was tied rather than nailed to a cross and preached for two days before dying.

Jesus tells a rich ruler that to inherit eternal life he must sell all his possessions and give the money to the poor. When the ruler becomes sorrowful because he is wealthy, Jesus says it is difficult for rich people to enter the kingdom of God, like trying to fit a camel through the eye of a needle. Those who hear this ask who can be saved, and Jesus responds that with God all things are possible.

Today we are going to pray "Here I am God, send me". We are going to put our "yes" on the table and tell God that we are willing to go wherever he will send us.
Dr. David Owuor is a Kenyan prophet born in 1966 in Siaya, Kenya. He received advanced scientific degrees but felt called by God to preach in 2001. He warns of impending disasters like earthquakes if people do not repent. Owuor travels widely preaching his message of repentance and condemns prosperity gospel. He says God provides for his needs and he does not collect offerings. Owuor chose to remain single to focus on his ministry of following God's directions. He has faced threats but continues preaching that Kenya and its churches must repent to avoid divine punishment.
David seeks to show kindness to any surviving relatives of King Saul in honor of his friendship with Saul's son Jonathan. A servant named Ziba informs David that Jonathan's son Mephibosheth, who is lame in both feet, is living in Lo Debar. David has Mephibosheth brought from Lo Debar and tells him he will restore his grandfather Saul's lands and allow him to eat at the king's table always in honor of his covenant with Jonathan. Mephibosheth lives in Jerusalem from that time on under David's provision.

This document provides a summary and analysis of the biblical story of Zacchaeus found in Luke 19:1-10. It describes how Jesus sought out Zacchaeus, a wealthy tax collector, and dined at his home, sparking Zacchaeus' repentance and restoration efforts. The document argues that salvation comes through God's sovereign work, not human effort alone, and must be evidenced by repentance and a changed life, not just words. It also distinguishes between a "gospel of salvation" focused just on the soul, and the "gospel of the kingdom" which impacts all of society.
The document discusses what it means to be "born again" according to the Bible. It provides quotes from students who have taken the Ambassador College Bible Correspondence Course praising the course for helping them better understand biblical concepts like death, hell, and being born again. The document encourages others to enroll in the free course to gain a deeper understanding of the Bible.

We are beginning a study of the gospel of John, this week. John 1 is a storehouse of information that tells us the identity of Jesus Christ. We will look at eight of them. What better way to start the new year than looking and studying the magnificent Jesus Christ!
The document provides information about three key elements of wealth according to the author:
1. Access - which is established through information, individuals, and ideas. Access allows one to obtain what is needed in real time, as demonstrated when Mary accessed Jesus to provide wine at a wedding.
2. Confidence - which comes from understanding, ability/skills, and courage/conviction.
3. Influence - which comes through relationships, having a reason/purpose, and righteousness.
The author argues that wealth is a byproduct of developing these three elements: access, confidence, and influence. Mary serves as an example of effectively using access through her relationship with Jesus.
Jesus enters Jerusalem riding on a donkey to fulfill a prophecy. Large crowds lay down palm branches and cloaks to welcome him, shouting "Hosanna" which means "save us". Later, some in the crowd change their tone and demand Jesus' crucifixion. Religious leaders are concerned by the large crowds following Jesus. The disciples initially do not understand Jesus' mission is to suffer and be killed in Jerusalem.
The document discusses the nature and purpose of the church. It argues that the church is meant to be a solid group of friends who follow Jesus, not just a building, institution, or denomination. It suggests that declining church attendance may be due to misunderstanding what the church is really about. The church should focus on calling others into a loving relationship, as this has always been God's plan according to the Bible, which tells the story of God redeeming people of every group.

Jesus is the great physician, sent to heal sin-sick man. What is the character of this physician? He is always accessible; He is infallible; He is unchangeable; and He is the only physician that can cure the destructive nature of sin.
John the Baptist sees Jesus and declares him to be the Lamb of God. Two of John's disciples follow Jesus, and Andrew goes to tell his brother Simon about finding the Messiah. Jesus tells Simon he will be called Peter. The next day Jesus finds Philip and tells him to follow, and Philip finds Nathanael to share the news about Jesus. When Nathanael expresses doubt that anything good could come from Nazareth, Philip invites him to come and see. Jesus affirms that Nathanael is a true Israelite, and later tells him he saw him under the fig tree before Philip called him, leading Nathanael to declare that Jesus is the Son of God.
This document provides a summary of a sermon given on Genesis 45:1-15 about Joseph forgiving his brothers. The sermon discusses lessons that can be learned about forgiveness from Joseph's story. It highlights how Joseph chose to forgive his brothers and lavish provision on them rather than seek revenge, and compares this to how God forgives through Christ. The sermon urges people to choose forgiveness through repentance and taking responsibility for wrongs, rather than basing it on feelings. It shares an example from Corrie ten Boom of experiencing God's love through forgiving someone who had mistreated her.
This document summarizes a passage from the Bible where Jesus appears to his disciples after his resurrection. Jesus helps the disciples catch a large number of fish, cooks them breakfast on the shore, and has a conversation with Peter about loving and serving others. Jesus then tells Peter to follow him before departing.
Jesus calls Simon Peter and Andrew to follow him and become "fishers of men". He later calls James and John in a similar way. Jesus gets in Simon's boat to teach crowds on the shore of the lake. When finished, he tells Simon to go into deep water and lower the nets, though Simon is skeptical since they caught nothing all night. When they do so at Jesus' word, they catch a huge number of fish, more than both boats can hold. Simon recognizes Jesus' divine power and authority. Jesus then calls Simon and the others to follow him and become "fishers of men".

After Jesus heard that John had been imprisoned, he withdrew to Galilee to begin his ministry. He settled in Capernaum to fulfill a prophecy about bringing light to that region. Jesus began preaching that the kingdom of heaven was at hand and recruited Peter, Andrew, James, and John as his first disciples by calling them to follow him. He then traveled throughout Galilee teaching in synagogues, preaching about the kingdom of God, and healing every disease. Large crowds from various regions followed Jesus because of his teachings and miracles.

Jesus calls Simon Peter and Andrew to follow him and become "fishers of men". They immediately leave their fishing nets to follow Jesus. Jesus then calls James and John as well, and they too follow him, leaving their father and boat. Later, Jesus gets into Simon's boat and teaches the crowds from it. When finished, he tells Simon to let down his fishing nets. Simon protests that they caught nothing all night, but lets down the nets at Jesus' word, catching many fish and needing help from another boat. Simon recognizes Jesus as Lord and asks him to depart, being a sinful man. Jesus instead tells him from now on he will catch men. Simon and the others then forsook all to follow Jesus
From the opening verse we immediately see Mark's goal of presenting Jesus as a divine being through the witness of His teaching and miracles. (Mark 1:1-45)
This document provides an overview and analysis of key passages from the Gospel of Mark. It discusses the theme of Mark being that Jesus came "not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." It analyzes Jesus' opening ministry in Mark 1:14-39. This includes the heartbeat of his ministry being the gospel, his focus on people through his disciples and the crowds, and the "polaris" of his ministry being quiet time with God. It encourages readers to follow Jesus even if it means leaving their comfort zones and prioritizing daily quiet time with God.

his teaching, for he taught them
as one who had authority,
and not as the scribes. “
28. Mark 1:14 - 2:14
v.23-24
“And immediately there was in
their synagogue a man with an
unclean spirit. And he cried
out, ‘What have you to do
with us, Jesus of Nazareth?
Have you come to destroy us? I
know who you are—the Holy
One of God.’”
29. v.25-26
“But Jesus rebuked him, saying,
‘Be silent, and come out of
him!’ And the unclean spirit,
convulsing him and crying out
with a loud voice, came out of
him.”
30. v.27-28
“And they were all amazed, so
that they questioned among
themselves, saying, ‘What is
this? A new teaching with
authority! He commands even
the unclean spirits, and they
obey him.’ And at once his
fame spread everywhere
throughout all the surrounding
region of Galilee.”
31. v.27-28
“And they were all amazed,
so that they questioned among
themselves, saying, ‘What is
this? A new teaching with
authority! He commands even
the unclean spirits, and they
obey him.’ And at once his
fame spread everywhere
throughout all the surrounding
region of Galilee.”
32. v.27-28
“And they were all amazed, so
that they questioned among
themselves, saying, ‘What is
this? A new teaching with
authority! He commands
even the unclean spirits, and
they obey him.’ And at once
his fame spread everywhere
throughout all the surrounding
region of Galilee.”
33. v.27-28
“And they were all amazed, so
that they questioned among
themselves, saying, ‘What is
this? A new teaching with

the unclean spirits, and they
obey him.’ And at once his
fame spread everywhere
throughout all the surrounding
region of Galilee.”
34. v.27-28
“And they were all amazed, so
that they questioned among
themselves, saying, ‘What is
this? A new teaching with
authority! He commands even
the unclean spirits, and they
obey him.’ And at once his
fame spread everywhere
throughout all the surrounding
region of Galilee.”
35. Mark 1:14 - 2:14
v.29-31
And immediately he left the
synagogue and entered the
house of Simon and Andrew,
with James and John. Now
Simon's mother-in-law lay ill
with a fever, and immediately
they told him about her.
And he came and took her by
the hand and lifted her up, and
the fever left her, and she began
to serve them.
36. v.32-34
“That evening at sundown they
brought to him all who were
sick or oppressed by demons.
And the whole city was
gathered together at the door.
And he healed many who were
sick with various diseases, and
cast out many demons. And
he would not permit the
demons to speak, because they
knew him.”
37. Mark 1:14 - 2:14
v.35-39
“And rising very early in the morning,
while it was still dark, he departed and
went out to a desolate place, and there
he prayed. And Simon and those who
were with him searched for him, and
they found him and said to him,
‘Everyone is looking for you.’
And he said to them, ‘Let us go on to
the next towns, that I may preach
there also, for that is why I came out.’
And he went throughout all Galilee,
preaching in their synagogues and
casting out demons.”
38. v.40-45
“And a leper came to him, imploring him, and
kneeling said to him, ‘If you will, you can make
me clean.’ Moved with pity, he stretched out
his hand and touched him and said to him, ‘I
will; be clean.’ And immediately the leprosy left
him, and he was made clean.
And Jesus sternly charged him and sent him
away at once, and said to him, ‘See that you say
nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the
priest and offer for your cleansing what Moses
commanded, for a proof to them.’
But he went out and began to talk freely about
it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could
no longer openly enter a town, but was out in
desolate places, and people were coming to
him from every quarter.”
39. 2v.1-5
“And when he returned to Capernaum
after some days, it was reported that he
was at home. And many were gathered
together, so that there was no more
room, not even at the door. And he was
preaching the word to them. And they
came, bringing to him a paralytic carried
by four men.
And when they could not get near him
because of the crowd, they removed the
roof above him, and when they had
made an opening, they let down the bed
on which the paralytic lay. And when
Jesus saw their faith, he said to the
paralytic, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’”
40. 2v.1-5
“And when he returned to Capernaum
after some days, it was reported that he
was at home. And many were gathered
together, so that there was no more
room, not even at the door. And he was
preaching the word to them. And they
came, bringing to him a paralytic carried
by four men.
And when they could not get near him
because of the crowd, they removed the
roof above him, and when they had
made an opening, they let down the bed
on which the paralytic lay. And when
Jesus saw their faith, he said to the
paralytic, ‘Son, your sins are forgiven.’”
41. v.6-9
“Now some of the scribes were
sitting there, questioning in their
hearts, ‘Why does this man speak
like that? He is blaspheming! Who
can forgive sins but God alone?’
And immediately Jesus, perceiving in
his spirit that they thus questioned
within themselves, said to them,
‘Why do you question these things
in your hearts? Which is easier, to
say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are
forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up
your bed and walk’?...”
42. v.10-12
“...But that you may know that the
Son of Man has authority on earth
to forgive sins’ - he said to the
paralytic - ‘I say to you, rise, pick up
your bed, and go home.’
And he rose and immediately picked
up his bed and went out before
them all, so that they were all
amazed and glorified God, saying,
‘We never saw anything like this!’”
43. v.13-14
“He went out again beside the sea,
and all the crowd was coming to
him, and he was teaching them.
And as he passed by, he saw Levi the
son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax
booth, and he said to him, ‘Follow
me.’ And he rose and followed him.”
