CPR Diamond Model Concepts & ApplicationsElmer Esplana
The CPR Diamond Model is a national development model being promoted by the Club of Professional Researchers, a voluntary research organization of young professionals and leaders with memberships in the government (G), private sector (PS) and civil society organization (CS).
It is based on the idea that it is the responsibility of every Filipino, particularly our leaders (G, PS, CS) at the local and national levels to collectively solve the problems and needs of Philippine society.
MIMAROPA is an administrative region in the Philippines, designated as Region IV-B. It is one of two regions in the country having no land border with another region, the other being Eastern Visayas. The name is an acronym combination of its constituent provinces, which are: Mindoro (divided into Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro), Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan. The region is also formally known as the Southern Tagalog Islands.
Calapan City is the regional center. However, most regional government offices such as the Department of Public Works and Highways are in the city of Quezon in Metro Manila.
The region was part of the now-defunct Southern Tagalog region until May 17, 2002.[4] On May 23, 2005, Palawan and the highly urbanized city of Puerto Princesa were moved to the region of Western Visayas by Executive Order No. 429.
However, on August 19, 2005, then-President Arroyo issued Administrative Order No. 129 to hold the earlier EO 429 in abeyance pending a review.

The Pinatubo eruption of June 1991: The nature and impact of the disaster
Nature of the disaster
Reawakened after more than 500 years of slumber, Mount Pinatubo in the
island of Luzon in the Philippines showed signs of imminent eruption early April
1991. On 12 June 1991 (Philippine Independence Day), its intermittent
eruptions began. Three days after, on 15 June 1991, its most powerful eruption
happened. Mount Pinatubo ejected massive volcanic materials of more than
one cubic mile and created an enormous cloud of volcanic ash that rose as high
as 22 miles into the air and grew to more than 300 miles across, turning day
into night over Central Luzon. At lower altitude, the ash was blown in all
direction by intense winds of a coincidental typhoon. At higher altitudes, the ash
was blown southwestward. Volcanic ash and frothy pebbles blanketed the
countryside. Fine ash fell as far as the Indian Ocean and satellites tracked the
ash clouds several times around the globe. Nearly 20 million tons of sulfur
dioxide were injected into the stratosphere and dispersed around the world
causing global temperature to drop temporarily by 1*F from 1991 through 1993.
Mount Pinatubo’s eruption was considered the largest volcanic eruption of the
century to affect a densely populated area.
After the explosive eruptions, posing a more serious and lingering threat to life,
property and environment were the onslaught of lahars. Within hours after the
eruption, heavy rains began to wash deposits of volcanic ash and debris from
the slopes down into the surrounding lowlands in giant, fast-moving mudflows.
Containing 40% (by weight) volcanic ash and rock, lahars flow faster than clear-
water streams. These steaming mudflows cascade as fast as 40 miles per hour
and can travel more than 50 miles. With 90% volcanic debris, lahars move
fastest and are most destructive. When they reach the lowlands, they have
speeds of more than 20 miles per hour and are as much as 30 feet thick and
300 feet wide. They can transport more than 35,000 cubic feet of debris and
mud per second.
For years, lahars continued to flow down the major river systems around the
volcano and out into densely populated, adjoining lowlands. They destroyed
and buried everything along their path: people and animals, farm and forest
lands, bridges and natural waterways, houses and cars. They also rampage
with terrifying rumbling sounds. By 1997, lahars had deposited more than 0.7
cubic miles (about 300 million dump-truck loads) of debris onto the lowlands,
burying hundreds of square miles of land and causing greater destruction than

Summary
The Tampakan Copper-Gold Project in the Philippines threatens the environment and the livelihoods of local populations. The Bla'an indigenous peoples that occupy these ancestral territories oppose the project and are victims of multiple violations of human rights. “SECTION 4. Grant of Mineral Agreements Pending New Legislation. No new mineral agreements shall be entered into until a legislation rationalizing existing revenue sharing
schemes and mechanisms shall have taken effect. The DENR may continue to grant and issue Exploration Permits under existing laws, rules and guidelines.” - Executive Order No. 79, July 6, 2012.
The report is based on a desk study and a three-week
field trip to the Philippines, where data was gathered
through qualitative interviews. Interview partners included
affected communities, company representatives, local and
national civil society organizations, as well as government
authorities. By evaluating this data we shed light on the
main human rights issues linked to the Tampakan Project.
The choice of our interview partners reflects our human
rights approach. While our interviewees have both positive
and negative attitudes towards the Tampakan Project, they
do not constitute a representative sample of the population
in the area. Instead, our goal is to make sure that we include those people who have serious concerns with regard to their human rights situation and to analyze their hopes and fears and complement this information with desk research and the views of other stakeholders and experts.
Prior to the start of stock exchange trading on 5 January 2012, Intex issued a stock exchange announcement stating that it had signed a MoU with MCC8 for the development of its nickel project in Mindoro. This agreement could grant MCC8 a “project management contract” (“PMC”) which would mean that MCC8 would take on most of the responsibility for the project finance and development of the field. As consideration for this, MCC8 and its strategic partners would have an option to purchase up to 90% of Mindoro Nickel, in a staged process, for a total of USD 296 million. Intex would retain 10% and would have an option to buy back a further 10% for up to USD 60 million following completion of the project1.

With an estimated $1.4 trillion in reserves, Philippine mining potential ranks
fifth in the world, covering an estimated 9 million hectares, but less than
2% has mining permits. After long stagnation, the sector has been coming
back after a 2005 SC decision affirming RA 7942, considered a world-class
legal framework for sustainable development. Minerals development is a
government priority and has great potential for jobs and revenue. Government
has identified over 60 priority PPP projects. Mining can support poor
rural areas through high quality jobs, local tax payments, and community
development. The national government receives substantial royalty and tax
payments. Government revenue from mining increased 800% from 2002 to
PhP10.4 billion in 2007. However, full development of the sector continues
to face significant challenges. Lengthy, tedious approvals for Exploration
Permits (EPs) continue to impede investment. Several LGUs have closed their
provinces to mining. Industry is concerned that the Writ of Kalikasan might
disturb lawful activities. An investor cannot tell easily if land is ancestral land.
Skilled Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) personnel often leave public
service. EO 79 has imposed a moratorium on new mining permits, pending the
passage of a new law on the revenue-sharing scheme between industry
The Fraser Institute Annual Survey of Mining
Companies was sent to approximately 4,100

companies around the world. Several mining

reported exploration spending of US$6.2 billion
in 2012 and US$5.4 billion in 2011

If you are interested in selling your pi coins, i have a verified pi merchant, who buys pi coins and resell them to exchanges looking forward to hold till mainnet launch.
Because the core team has announced that pi network will not be doing any pre-sale. The only way exchanges like huobi, bitmart and hotbit can get pi is by buying from miners.
Now a merchant stands in between these exchanges and the miners. As a link to make transactions smooth. Because right now in the enclosed mainnet you can't sell pi coins your self. You need the help of a merchant,

Since pi network is not launched yet on any exchange, the only way you can sell pi coins is by selling to a verified pi merchant, and this is because pi network is not launched yet on any exchange and no pre-sale or ico offerings Is done on pi.
Since there is no pre-sale, the only way exchanges can get pi is by buying from miners. So a pi merchant facilitates these transactions by acting as a bridge for both transactions.

US Economic Outlook - Being Decided - M Capital Group August 2021.pdfpchutichetpong
The U.S. economy is continuing its impressive recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and not slowing down despite re-occurring bumps. The U.S. savings rate reached its highest ever recorded level at 34% in April 2020 and Americans seem ready to spend. The sectors that had been hurt the most by the pandemic specifically reduced consumer spending, like retail, leisure, hospitality, and travel, are now experiencing massive growth in revenue and job openings.
Could this growth lead to a “Roaring Twenties”? As quickly as the U.S. economy contracted, experiencing a 9.1% drop in economic output relative to the business cycle in Q2 2020, the largest in recorded history, it has rebounded beyond expectations. This surprising growth seems to be fueled by the U.S. government’s aggressive fiscal and monetary policies, and an increase in consumer spending as mobility restrictions are lifted. Unemployment rates between June 2020 and June 2021 decreased by 5.2%, while the demand for labor is increasing, coupled with increasing wages to incentivize Americans to rejoin the labor force. Schools and businesses are expected to fully reopen soon. In parallel, vaccination rates across the country and the world continue to rise, with full vaccination rates of 50% and 14.8% respectively.
However, it is not completely smooth sailing from here. According to M Capital Group, the main risks that threaten the continued growth of the U.S. economy are inflation, unsettled trade relations, and another wave of Covid-19 mutations that could shut down the world again. Have we learned from the past year of COVID-19 and adapted our economy accordingly?
“In order for the U.S. economy to continue growing, whether there is another wave or not, the U.S. needs to focus on diversifying supply chains, supporting business investment, and maintaining consumer spending,” says Grace Feeley, a research analyst at M Capital Group.
While the economic indicators are positive, the risks are coming closer to manifesting and threatening such growth. The new variants spreading throughout the world, Delta, Lambda, and Gamma, are vaccine-resistant and muddy the predictions made about the economy and health of the country. These variants bring back the feeling of uncertainty that has wreaked havoc not only on the stock market but the mindset of people around the world. MCG provides unique insight on how to mitigate these risks to possibly ensure a bright economic future.
Financial Assets: Debit vs Equity Securities.pptxWrito-Finance
financial assets represent claim for future benefit or cash. Financial assets are formed by establishing contracts between participants. These financial assets are used for collection of huge amounts of money for business purposes.
Two major Types: Debt Securities and Equity Securities.
Debt Securities are Also known as fixed-income securities or instruments. The type of assets is formed by establishing contracts between investor and issuer of the asset.
• The first type of Debit securities is BONDS. Bonds are issued by corporations and government (both local and national government).
• The second important type of Debit security is NOTES. Apart from similarities associated with notes and bonds, notes have shorter term maturity.
• The 3rd important type of Debit security is TRESURY BILLS. These securities have short-term ranging from three months, six months, and one year. Issuer of such securities are governments.
• Above discussed debit securities are mostly issued by governments and corporations. CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSITS CDs are issued by Banks and Financial Institutions. Risk factor associated with CDs gets reduced when issued by reputable institutions or Banks.
Following are the risk attached with debt securities: Credit risk, interest rate risk and currency risk
There are no fixed maturity dates in such securities, and asset’s value is determined by company’s performance. There are two major types of equity securities: common stock and preferred stock.
Common Stock: These are simple equity securities and bear no complexities which the preferred stock bears. Holders of such securities or instrument have the voting rights when it comes to select the company’s board of director or the business decisions to be made.
Preferred Stock: Preferred stocks are sometime referred to as hybrid securities, because it contains elements of both debit security and equity security. Preferred stock confers ownership rights to security holder that is why it is equity instrument
Equity securities as a whole is used for capital funding for companies. Companies have multiple expenses to cover. Potential growth of company is required in competitive market. So, these securities are used for capital generation, and then uses it for company’s growth.
Concluding remarks
Both are employed in business. Businesses are often established through debit securities, then what is the need for equity securities. Companies have to cover multiple expenses and expansion of business. They can also use equity instruments for repayment of debits. So, there are multiple uses for securities. As an investor, you need tools for analysis. Investment decisions are made by carefully analyzing the market. For better analysis of the stock market, investors often employ financial analysis of companies.
