DETAILS ON STRUCTURE:
• Shear walls are used as primary vertical and transverse
structural system for all three towers.
• Additional of concrete core walls located within both legs of each
towers restrain the hotel in the longitudinal direction and help
prevent out of plane buckling of the narrow shear walls within
both legs of the tower.
• Post tensioned 8 inch flat slab span directly between the shear
walls.
• It provides flexibility in the hotel room layout, to hold a relatively
tight 9 foot 10 inch typically floor to floor height, and
accommodates flexibility of building services distribution and
coordination throughout each floor

CHALLENGES:
• Land consists of Marine clay and sand.
• Speed of the wind is high near marina bay.

SOLUTIONS:
• COFFERDAMS: Enclose some part of the ground,
pump out water and mud , excavate , do the
constructions.
• 90-120m diameters of cofferdams.

SOLUTIONS:
• Built dummy to test movements against wind.
• Two solutions : Move each tower separately or fix them
to the sky park rigidly.

FOUNDATION:
• 50-60m long ,1.8-2.4m diameters of concrete piles.
