This document summarizes the global Fablab/makerspace network. There are currently 38 open Hubs across the world with 20 more planned in the next 18 months. The network has over 6,000 members and 400 makers. The goal is to provide open spaces and communities where people can collaborate to create projects that make a positive impact. The Hubs support entrepreneurship and innovation through events and resources. Evaluation shows the Hubs help many startups launch and provide an environment where people can effectively work on issues like sustainability, education, and more. Plans are to continue growing the network to over 100 Hubs and 25,000 members by 2015.
