Data Input 20 scenes from SPOT 5 HRG with: 10 scenes with 10,0 m multispectral and 10 scenes with 2,5 m panchromatic 6 HRS pairs segments – 5,0 m resolution panchromatic Global  Area of 11.000  Km2,  covered by GCP’s Map   articulation grid adopted by IBGE (Civil Map Agency at Brazil) at  1:25.000 scale Final Product:  88 Image Charts with  7’30”  x  7’30”; (Area of 171 Km 2  each)

Results from Customer View The product have been used to update the 38 Municipalities  for Landuse, Hydrography, & Roads layers.  The final maps were also tested randomically and the client found that they were in accordance with the Brazilian Cartographic Standardization accuracy known as PEC A for the 1:25.000 scale.
Conclusion The choice for SPOT-5 was due to a competitive  price for the State Government Tender.  We had a positive feedback from customer that  are distributing the maps to all 38 municipalities that will use it on their Municipal Director Plan. The project was also a break of paradigms from traditional cartography, based only on aerial photos. It was the first time in Brazil that maps was produced on 1:25.000 scale, based exclusively on orbital images
