 Cloud Computing: Design and simulation of traffic management using four algorithms on AWS (Java).
 Machine Learning: 20 newsgroup text classification using Naïve Bayes (Python). Image recognition and action
extraction using classification and dimension decreasing methods such as Naïve Bayes, Neural Networks, SVM
(Matlab).
 Data Intensive Computing: Ported a MPI-SVM to Hadoop platform and optimized its I/O performance on Hadoop
(C++). Implemented an input auto-completion function of search engine using N-gram model on Hadoop system
and SQL Server for Wikipedia data upon input query (Java and SQL). Implemented keyword search and quantity
analysis of Amazon music and movie review on Spark (Spark SQL and Scala).
 Evolutionary Computing: Proposed and implemented an image recovery method in compressive sensing framework

 Advanced Computer Architecture: Implemented adaptive cache strategy in SimpleScalar and tested the level-2
