 Developed an application to transfer the streaming data from the android device to a personal computer using Bluetooth
protocol using Blue cove 2.1.1 (the Bluetooth library compatible with windows and Linux environments).
 Developing a GUI for displaying the streaming output on the console.

INTERNSHIP/CO-OP FUJITSU NETWORK COMMUNICATIONS (Richardson) Fall 2014
 Developed a server application that can capture packets, transmitted by the machines across the FNC Network and
designed a Web-page using apache which will display the captured packets.
 Deployed software by creating containers in Docker in the context of SOFTWARE DEFINED NETWORKING.
 Developed a simple forwarding application in the context of Open daylight controller and Mini net.
 Emulated various complex topologies in Mini net. Installed flows into the network and prioritized flows.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS
DERIVE STATISTICS FROM IMDB MOVIE DATA SET (HADOOP MAP REDUCE, JAVA)
Derived average movie ratings for all genres from various IMDB movie datasets across the Hadoop cluster. Applied various
Map Reduce design patterns for filtering, job chaining, and joining data from multiple heterogeneous datasets in the HDFS.
MACHINE LEARNING ALGORITHMS-SPAM FILTERING, ID3 DECISION TREES and K-MEANS CLUSTERING FOR IMAGE
COMPRESSION (JAVA, WEKA DATA MINING SOFTWARE, LIBSVM)
Implemented the Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression and Perceptron algorithms for the text classification in JAVA and computed
the accuracies of the respective classifiers for different learning rates and iteration combinations. Implemented the ID3
algorithm for building the Decision Tree classifier and computed the best attribute at each level of the tree by using the
Information gain and Variance Impurity heuristics. Also implemented the k-means clustering on the images obtained from
the UCI Machine Learning Repository and compared the relation between the image quality and the degree of compression.
SEARCH ENGINE (APACHE LEUCENE, JAVA, PHP)
Built a search engine by forming a compressed and uncompressed Inverted Index for large data sets using Stanford
Lemmatizer and implemented a simple statistical retrieval system that will rank the documents based on the TF IDF scores
computed for every given query.
PEER-TO-PEER FILE SHARING SYSTEM (JAVA, MULTI-THREADING, SOCKET-PROGRAMMING)
Developed a peer-to-peer file system which consists of a set of autonomous computers that act as a distributed repository of
files and designed a user interface that allows participating computers to search for and download files from each other.
LAMPORT’S ALGORITHM FOR DISTRIBUTED MUTUAL EXCLUSION (JAVA, MULTI-THREADING, SOCKET-PROGRAMMING)
Implemented the Lamport's algorithm for mutual exclusion by considering ten nodes and established reliable socket
connections (TCP) between each pair of nodes. The algorithm is implemented such that each node enters into and leaves the
critical section 20 times.
DESIGN OF UNIX VERSION6 FILE-SYSTEM ON UNIX PLATFORM (C, UNIX SHELL SCRIPTS)
Designed and developed an interactive utility program in C, which allows a UNIX user process to access the file system of a
foreign operating system by redesigning the superblock, I Node and directory entries of the V6 file system. Implemented
series of functions like initializing the disc, copy in, copy out, make directory using basic lseek, read and write operations.
LIBRARY DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (JDBC, SWINGS, MYSQL)
Developed the Library Database application using JDBC as front-end and MySQL server as the back-end and created Graphical
User Interface by using Swings in JAVA.
ANDROID APP FOR TEXT TO SPEECH CONVERSION (ANDROID SDK)
Developed an Android Application for Text to Speech and Speech to Text conversion.
