Managers lead their teams and
represent their respective
functional areas.
You are all responsible and
accountable for the team spirit,
capacity, skills, resource allocation, and
ultimately for the performance of
your functional units
Beyond that the Management Team acts as
a single unit to achieve business
objectives, to find the best ways to
accomplish our tasks, and to withstand
external pressures.
It is a “safe base” where we can all be
open and frank, admit our difficulties--and
sometimes even failures--while relying on
support from our teammates.
Functional role becomes secondary:
everybody is encouraged to question the
current way of doing things, propose new
solutions, and challenge the status quo
