Male infertility is rising, with sperm counts declining significantly over the past decade. The three main causes of poor semen quality are low sperm count, poor motility, and abnormal morphology, which can be due to environmental factors, lifestyle, infection, or genetic defects. Varicocele, the dilatation of the veins within the scrotum, is the most common cause of male infertility, present in 15% of the general population and up to 75% of men with secondary infertility. Surgical treatment of varicocele through microsurgery has the best results in improving testicular function and fertility outcomes. For cases of obstructive azoospermia where no sperm is found in the semen, surgical sperm retrieval techniques
