Making connections - Transfer PD session

  • 4. Transfer is “making connections — including using knowledge, understanding and skills across subjects to create products or solutions, applying skills and knowledge in unfamiliar situations.” Assessing for Understanding Across the IB Continuum
  • 5. Getting to know each other: Using a current unit, or one from Semester 1, share: 1.“What are the “big ideas” (key concepts) you want students to learn? How do the big ideas of the subjects connect or overlap? 2. What ATLs are you explicitly teaching? What strategies do you use to do this? 3.
