This document outlines three projects being undertaken by mechanical engineering students at the K.L.E. Institute of Technology. The first project involves friction welding aluminum alloys to overcome issues with traditional welding techniques. Tests will examine strength, grain quality, and heat affected zones. The second project aims to design a mechanical seed and soil separator using sheets with different sized holes and mechanical mechanisms for rotational and oscillating motion. The third project seeks to generate electricity from foot steps as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional power sources for domestic use.
