1. The titles, which contain
the most information,
are in bold and block
colour. This shows clever
promotion, as people are
most likely to remember
them so they will buy it.
The dark background
connotes the album
could have negative
emotion: sad, anger,
etc. However the
lighter sky shows
that good things are
still within the
album.
The “Praise and
Blame” titles are
hollow which could
show the negativity
in them.
The ruined building connotes
negativity as many people associated it
with abandonment, and with the cross
on top of it could show loss of faith.
The light coming out
of the building
intrigues the reader,
making them want to
know what it means.
This selling point
could be the same as
the reader wanting to
know what exactly
the album means
through lyrics etc.
In this image you
can see the building
is isolated, making
it stand out.
This is effective as
it works well with
the title, as the
“blame” aspect of
the title could be
the isolated area
and the natural
light is the “praise”.
Even though the reader is focusing
on the all the aspects they need to
know to buy the album but it the
corner they have cleverly put
recycle symbol, which is another
type of advertisement.
In this image it become from
light colour to dark, top to
bottom, which again symbolizes
good and bad.
