OUR FOUNDER
Mr. Bhanuchandra Doshi
Machinecraft is a privately owned
family business. The company was starter
in 1976 by Bhanuchandra Doshi, Polymer
Chemist from UDCT Mumbai. The company
was then taken over by second generation in
1990s transforming the company into
a global one.Currently, the company is in
the third generation and continues to
expand in the field of plastics
processing innovations.
World as we know it is changing. The values and standards we needed
a decade ago no longer hold true for today’s modern workforce and demands
have rapidly changed over the past two decades irregardless of demographics.
If you work in the new economy this shift is apparent. It is accompanied by
several majoremerging trends :

Our Thick Sheet
Thermoforing Machine
Models
The PF1 Series has been designed to form thick sheet products using vaccum & pressure
forming technology. Thick Sheet Thermoforming is usually used to make large parts that
have small batch size instead of Injection Moulding.
The process is to load the mould with part pattern on the mould platen system, then load
the machine with a thermoplastic sheet - ABS, PC, PE, etc. with thickness raning from
2 to 12 mm. Heaters using Zone Control & PLC regulate the thermoplastic sheet to be
heatedand come in molten state such that the mould platen then comes up and sucks the air
out or applies pressure so that the sheet takes the shape of the pattern of the mould.
Part then cools down and is to be taken out of the machine for post-processes.
Such machines are being currently used to develop products for the automotive industry -
parts that are large in size and have small volumes; sanitary industry - to make bahtubs
and shower panels; skylight domes; ventilators over industries; transportation pallets;
luggage bags; agricultural trays like geomembrane.

8. Automatic sheet
loader
Autoloader add-on allows automatic sheet loading This variant loads a stack
of cut sheets into an additional unit. At this stage, a pneumatic driven plate with
vacuum pad picks the sheet and places it on a chain which transports the sheet inside
the forming unit. Once the part is formed, the chain transport mechanism moves
the formed part out of the machine and drops it into the exit chute.

The Roll Feeder add-on is a handy feature that is used for thin sheet materials that
come in rolls. The sheet can be cut to a required length either before it is fed into the
system, or after it is rolled out. The roll feeder unwinds the sheet into the main unit where `
it is cut and conveyed into the forming station automatically. Once the part is formed,
the chain transport mechanism moves the formed part out of the machine and drops it
into the exit chute.

10. The PF1 series features both, single and sandwich heating systems
(with top-bottom heating) for varying requirements. This gives the operator
the flexibility to choose different configurations for varying results.
Similarly, the heating system also features zone settings that enables even heat
distribution and flexibility to handle multiple job orders on the same forming bed.
All machines have zonal heater control with each zone of two elements.
The system features Infrared Ceramic Heating Elements by default. The machines
also come with optional Quartz Heating Elements where exact sheet temperature
is required to be measured optional infrared sheet temperature reader can be
provided in the top heater.

Preblow : The photo sensor senses the height
of the pre-blow sheet and regulates the air in
the chamber to provide pre-blow control.
The Preblow is essential for an better distribution
of sheet thickness and to prevent excessive
sagging of sheet during heating.
Sag : During the heating of sheet the sagging
of sheet is controlled by photocells mounted below
the sheet. This allows to maintain proper sheet
to heater distance during heating.

All Machines are equipped with high speed cooling blowers for efficient cooling of
formed parts. The machines also come with optional water mist spray for faster
cooling.Where there is a requirement of ejecting the parts at specific temperature
infrared sheet temperature reader is also provided for measuring
the temperature of the formed part during cooling.
hmi
All machines come with a touchscreen Human Machine Interface with a friendly and
simple to use interface. The screens are designed to suit a thermoforming
operator’s mind and help him to easily use the machines, view important
parameters assess machine performance. Machines also come with alarms and
messages for preventive maintenance and diagnostics. All the parameters can be
stored in recipes in the HMI.

11. zone control
Zone Control using PLC. The heating system also features zone settings
that enable even heat distribution and flexibility to handle multiple job orders
on the same forming bed. All machines have zone heater control with
each zone of two elements.
There are 3 types of heater control mechanisms available in the machine:-

Temperature Reader(s)
Add-On Module
This is an optional add on unit which is fit in the heater bank and it shows
the true temperature of the sheet at the fixed point. The temperature can be
read on the machine. Without the reader you only come to know the temperature
of the heating elements. Hence, this is critical if you want all the cycles at the
same sheet temperature. This increases the resolution of the final formed part.

Machinecraft’s PF2 Series has been designed as open body configuration to cater specially for
the bathtub & sanitary industry. The machine operates fully automatically except sheet
loading and unloading. The machine has low mould loading height. The machine features
sandwich heating system with infrared ceramic elements or calrod type
heating elements. Machine comes with adjustable
sliding frame members in one direction with
pneumatic toggle clamps for firm sheet clamping.
Optional PLC control for heating and sequence
is available. PF2 Series is ideal for acrylic
bathtubs, panels and shower trays.

INLINE Series has been designed to form thin sheet products using
vacuum & pressure forming technologies. Machinecraft’s INLINE Series is
a precision, high speed continuous thermoforming machine in a compact
and powerful package developed for the international thermoforming industry.
Available with 3 or 4 station models, the station being for forming, optional holing,
steel rule punching and stacking. The INLINE Series can be used for forming a wide
variety of materials such as PVC, PS, PET (APET, RPET, PETG) and PP.
With international demand for thermoformed products expanding into
food packaging, retail packaging, medical packaging, electronics packaging
and many other the INLINE Series is designed to suit the worldwide market.
The machine comes in two sizes 400x600 and 500x600 with variety of

The AM Series is a starter range vacuum forming machine. The machine is a standalone vacuum
forming only machine with a separate hydro-pneumatic press which cuts the parts
in a separate station. These machines are low cost
and work well for products with low volumes.

drive the forming platen. The mould lies on
the forming platen with Vacuum vents.
Vacuum is applied in the forming area to form
the sheet in the shape of the mould

The machine indexes the sheet automatically
as per the set timer using the Servo Driven
chain. The Chain can be adjusted to required
sheet roll width using hand wheel

Sheet Roll is to be manually placed on
the chain when you first load the machine.
The sheet is then indexed by the Servo
Driven Chain.
Optional pneumatic sheer can be added
on the machine to cut the sheet.

The formed parts from the AM Machine can be individually cut using a
hydro-pneumatic punching press. This add-on module can be purchased
along with the machine to enable a human operator to transfer the formed

In this model, the machine is designed as a closed system with guards in place. The heater bank
movement in this model is using pneumatic cylinder. The machine comes with a special exit
chute post the cross cutter. The design allows a total clean room type production of vacuum
formed parts. This machine has been designed with parts from premium suppliers like Festo,
Mitsubishi, Elstein Germany, etc. The machine comes with a 7' touch screen HMI and is run using
PLC system.
