THE LUNGS
The Lungs are the vital organs of respiration.
The right Lung has 3 lobes,the left Lung has 2.
Root of the Lung:Formed by structures emerging from the
Lung at its hilum.
Hilum of the Lung:Point at which Main bronchus,Pulmonary vessels
Bronchial vessels, lymphatic vessels and nerves enter and leave
the lung.
Each lung has:
An apex
Three surfaces(Costal,Mediastinal,Diaphragmatic)
Three borders(Anterior,Inferior and Posterior)
Fissures:Oblique fissure -Horizontal fissure-in the Rt Lung
Oblique fissure-Lt.Lung
