Other options included cabin upgrades (8%), car rentals (3%), hotel stays (6%), and retail purchases (1%). The survey results indicate that knowing customers' preferences for redeeming points can help airlines retain loyalty by educating customers about alternative redemption methods and associated savings. Redeeming miles is generally a simple process but can significantly boost customer loyalty and retention for airlines.
