Dotty Jakes-Griffin &
Lekeathia Hampton
• Lekeathia Hampton and Henryetta (Dotty) Jakes
Griffin are two friends who are also dedicated
community servants. Residents of Tallahatchie County,
Mississippi, KeKe and Dotty had the idea of creating a
nonprofit organization whose mission would be to help
those in need. Two like-minded individuals with hearts
for serving others, they met while serving with
AmeriCorps/America Reads-Mississippi. During their
tenures in AmeriCorps, KeKe and Dotty developed a
passion for being change agents, and thus were the
recipient of numerous awards and honors for her
dedication to community service. Among projects that
they have spearheaded are the creation of a community
garden, renovations of two major industries in the
western Tallahatchie County area, and semi-monthly
food drives to help the needy.

10. ANTI-HAZING POLICY
• Hazing is the practice of rituals, challenges, and other activities involving
harassment, abuse or humiliation used as a way of initiating a person into a
group. LOS/GOS has a strict anti-hazing policy. Any member that is found
in violation of the Anti-Hazing Policy will be permanently barred from the
group and may face criminal charges.
