It is my pleasure to provide a letter of recommendation for Ms. Katherine Hoppe. I have
known Katherine for a year and would highly recommend her for the Exhibit Developer position
at the Spy Museum.
Ms. Hoppe is a Special Education Instructional Assistant for a variety of grade levels and
has been at Graham Road Elementary School for three years. This position requires flexibility,
dedication, collaboration, self-direction, caring, and curriculum knowledge, and Katherine excels
in all of these areas. She works closely with classroom teachers to plan and prepare appropriate
lessons for students, implementing each lesson with enthusiasm and imparting a love for learning
on each student. Katherine is able to adapt her instruction, and she easily moves from one task to
another. She provides a variety of support for classroom teachers, students, office staff, and me.
Ms. Hoppe understands that success comes from being a collaborative, team player, and she is
willing to help out whenever and wherever she is needed. Her positivity is contagious, and her
dedication to her work is remarkable.
In addition, Ms. Hoppe is the Patrol Sponsor for our school, a position that requires self-
direction and leadership. She is in charge of approximately 35 students who help keep students
safe getting to and from school. Ms. Hoppe coordinates the application process, plans and
provides the training, plans and leads monthly meetings, and supervises patrols on a daily basis.
She is also the liaison between the school and the transportation department, communicating
effectively and efficiently with each.
