It is my honor and privilege to recommend Sheri Meyers as a candidate for a teaching
position. I have worked with Sheri in my position as Interim Principal of Daarul Uloom
School and I have seen her giving the best of her ability for the time she spent this year in our
school.
Daarul Uloom School is a K-8 environment comprised of a wide diverse population of
students. It was impressive how to see Sheri adapt to the new environment and putting forth
effort to understand and gear toward students and parents from different backgrounds. A
quality that allowed her to earn everyone’s trust and respect.
During her tenure here at Daarul Uloom, Sheri was assigned the 7th
and 8th grade classes in
which she taught Language Arts and Social Studies. Sheri’s lessons were well thought out and
showed a wide variety of student centered activities to meet the many needs of different
learning style within the classroom. Lessons were delivered with directions being clear and
concise. Her kind and gentle way with the students provided a safe environment for all to
learn. She demonstrated fairness and consistency in dealing with behavior management.
Sheri has shown a true sense of professionalism. Punctuality, sincerity, and dedication were
evident in her daily work. She performed all of her teaching duties in a responsible and
dependable manner. She is confident on working individually as well as in a team. Sheri
would not hesitate to ask questions and was accepting of constructive feedback and applied
suggestions readily. Her communication skills with students, staff, and parents were superior.
She is a caring and compassionate teacher who genuinely wants every student to succeed and
reach their maximum potential.
I am confident that Mrs. Sheri Meyers will be an asset to any institution that she works with.
She is confident, knowledgeable, and has the skills of a seasoned teacher. I believe that she
will continue to grow and become even more effective as a teacher with further opportunities.
