If we could give this week a theme, it would definitely be
called the entrepreneurial week! The High School are kicking
off their GreenLEAP Design Thinking block, and the Middle
Schoolers are busy preparing for their Bamboopalooza booths.
Can't wait to check out these young entrepreneurs’ corner
selling mostly handmade products at Bamboopalooza
tomorrow!
The week has also been filled with a lot of love and
happiness. Yesterday, the Sibang House Project crew along
with parents and staff of Green School held a heartwaming
housewarming ceremony at one of our local scholars family.
So beautiful to see the community spirit of Green School
continues to grow.
A friendly reminder for next week, there will be no school on
Wednesday Dec 9th as we'll be having an island wide election
day. Have a lovely Thursday afternoon and see you tomorrow
at the uber fun Bamboopalooza.

Small Steps, Big Changes
Friday, 20th November 2015 was a special day for the kindergarten students. That day, the children were
so enthusiastic to join the Trash Walk. They were impatient to leave the class and head to Kembali.
After their explanation, the children marched toward campus through the Kembali gate and eagerly
scoured the surrounding for trash. When they spotted a piece of trash they picked it up and put it in the
sacks. The children were having a blast collecting trash along their journey. Some of them were singing
and even dancing while collecting the trash. Moreover, they already knew how to sort the trash. They did
not pick the trash that was useful for Mother Earth, but rather they pick up the trash that can harm Mother
Earth, and put those items in their sacks.
The Trash Walk was successful and fun for the children, and they asked to do the program again next
week. Read More

Middle School Medieval Banquet
Thursday November 26, The Medieval Banquet at Al-Hambra
Palace (Middle School), was served. Elementary students,
parents, and 8th graders were welcomed by our hostess, Walada,
and enjoyed poetry readings and music. We feasted on tasty
treats made by our students as well. All-in-all, it was a great affair
of idea sharing and a historic ‘meeting of the minds’. See

We pay CASH for your Trash
We're at the mid-point of our Sampah Sorting Challenge and
things are heating up as students have learned that Kembali will
pay CASH for their trash. Students have 1.5 weeks left to collect
as many CLEAN recyclable items from home or community. Each
class will keep all items in their classroom until the final sorting,
weighing, and selling session at Kembali takes place, before we
depart for the holidays. How much trash will each class collect
and how much cash will they walk away with? Stay tuned!
