1. Filming shooting

2. First shot
This is a medium shot of Dylan, I placed the camera at the
bottom of the hill on a tripod for steadiness of the camera.
Dylan start walking towards the camera and as he goes past I
tilt the camera to the left. I done this shot to intro my film as
he walks up I play Non-diegetic music that’s thriller themed
for my genre as well as fading out to the Title and Company
name. I had to make sure it was high key lighting so you could
see Dylan for this scene.

3. Shovel Take
For this scene I done a close up shot of Dylan using the
shovel to dig a shot the reason I done this shot so that
you can see well what he was doing and so the camera
would pick up the diegetic sound of him digging This shot
was taken on a Tripod for steadiness and correct
positioning. The camera was placed above him so you
could look down on what hes doing rather than
underneath so you can see what he's doing is suspicious.
This scene was filmed a separate day to the rest as it
took a while to prepare having to get the shovel and
finding a place to dig since there were roots everywhere.
I took this shot to change the color to black and white
and add quite pianos to the scene so it mixes with the
diegetic sound of the shovel blends with it and creates
mystery.

4. Use of Zoom
This Shot was originally a longshot, I done this so it hid some of the Kidnappers
Identity so it builds more tension but then I Decided you couldn't see the characters
very well so I used the zoom on my camera at first to hide Ethan but then on Ethan
picking up Dylan. I filmed this on a tripod so that when I used a zoom it would be
stable and smooth. Hiding someone coming from Dylan gave me the opportunity to
Add a sting effect so it would add the element of surprise to the film also The wind
was very loud down the river so since the shot was down there I would have to turn
down the volume recording on the camera settings before I took the shot, Also I
was tilting the camera right as Dylan was walking across to make sure again you
could not see Dylan and with this genre being a thriller that was necessary.

5. First proper Close up.
This Scene I used a close-up shot on a tripod which is above Dylan the
reason I done this is so I could capture Dylan's reaction to being kidnapped.
This worked well as with the camera being above and it being on the tripod
this mean it was like your looking above him to see how its like also it gets
the skipping ropes tied to a branch in to show he cant move this legs either
for this there was no sound needed apart from the non-diegetic soundtrack
I'm going to use for it to create tension as he looks around.

6. Encounter
This take I Done an medium shot on a tripod level to Ethan, I
tilt the camera as He walks towards to Dylan this shots to show
Dylan’s reaction to seeing who tied him up and took him, I done
it level for the interrogation scene as Ethan starts to question I
move the camera to where he goes to show he’s the antagonist
and the one in control I had to be fairly close though to here
the diegetic sound of Ethan and Dylan’s voice talking to each
other.

7. Safe distance shot
This is another medium Shot I took on the tripod, I had to do this as Ethan was
smashing a plate for this scene but I Also couldn't be too far away as I wanted
to get the diegetic sound of the plate smashing which then I had the
opportunity to mix the diegetic and non-diegetic sting so it worked well also
with it being an action scene for him being threatening it helps build up in
tension.

8. Important prop
I done a close-up shot of the plate to show the importance of it I did
this free hand but steadily as I could not get the tripod as low as it
needed to be for this shot. I made sure I was above the hands so you
can clearly see the plate being picked up. There’s non-diegetic
sound going on in the background creating tension as hes about to
break free.

9. Extreme close-up
I done this free hand and used the zoom on my camera to capture
him clearly cutting the tape with the plate showing the
importance of the plate in this scene and again with the non-
diegetic sound playing to build tension is being used

10. Close-up escape
I done this shot free handed again to make sure the camera was level
with Dylan so you can see his reaction on eventually getting away and
getting his chance also I wanted you to see his legs being set free.

11. Medium shot of the escape
This is a medium shot on a tripod of Ethan's realization of Dylan
escaping which then introduces the Chase action scene which all the
tension has been building up to this moment, I then add drumming
base music to it to increase the tension. I tilted the camera left so
then as he runs away it becomes a longshot now the tensions at its
peak and it’s the action scene.

12. See both
This is a medium shot where I place the camera so
you can see both Dylan hiding and Ethan searching
so the audience knows where Dylan is but Ethan
doesn’t this creates tension as your wondering what
Dylan is going to do. I did this shot on a tripod for
steadiness. When Ethan gets hit by Dylan the non-
diegetic sting sound was effective on me cutting on
action so then you can see I done another medium
shot on a tripod but on the same scene so you get
the films pace which then It finnishes.
