1. Setting for my horror trailer
I’ve taken pictures of a variety of places of where my horror trailer could take place, my own
house as it has lot’s of mirrors, good lighting for a trailer and I know how it would be best
used but it may take away the scare factor of the trailer. An abandoned house, this would
be extremely conventional and add to the suspense aspect of the film trailer, but also might
take away the realismof it. Then my final location is an overgrown field where there are
broken swings, smashed windows and overgrown huts. This would be extremely
conventional and add to the scare factor but my script is for inside, but this would definitely
be included in my trailer.
Abandoned house:
As shown by the pictures the house is very conventional to the horror genre, the main
problems for this house is whether it would take the realism away from the script and plot,
aswell as whether it would be too conventional so my trailer wouldn’t stand out.
Overgrown Field:

2. As shown by my pictures the overgrown field would be a great choice of location for certain
aspects of my trailer as it would help add to the mystery of my characters. Aswell as help set
the scene for the rest of the trailer, not on ly that but it would stop the trailer from being
continuously indoors, therefore gives the audience a range of scenes from the film.
Modern house:

3. As shown by my pictures the house has lots of room to filmand all the rooms are different.
The use of a normal house would add to the realism of the trailer which is the main way I’m
looking to attract an audience. This connects with the age of my characters. The only
problem I have is if it looks too unconventional for a horror genre and ends up not adding to
the horror effect.
