2. BLACK PARK - DENHAM
I would like to film some scenes for my music video at Black Park in Denham, as it is a beautiful open space with oak woodlands, veteran
trees, meadows, landscaped parkland, formal gardens and a stunning tree-lined avenue. Black Park is a famous and historic filming location in
the UK. At 535 acres it is a huge space and offers a wide range of location options, from a 14 acre lake, epic Pine avenues, Pine forest and
native woodland to over 10 miles of forest tracks and various clearings and build spaces both large and small.
It is an extremely successful filming location which has played host to a wide range of films and TV Programmes. During the 1960’s Black Park
began its association with Bond films starting with Goldfinger (1964), and later Octopussy (1983), The World is Not Enough (1999), Die
Another Day (2002) and Casino Royale (2008). Another significant franchise in the park’s portfolio is Harry Potter, with four of the eight
movies having significant scenes filmed in the depths of the park. Those are Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone (2001), the Chamber of
Secrets (2002), The Goblet of Fire (2005) and The Order of the Phoenix (2007). Other well-known films shot in Black Park include Krull (1983),
Supergirl (1984), Black Beauty (1994), The First Night (1985), The Mummy Returns (2001), Agent Cody Banks 2 (2004), Stardust (2007), The
Wolfman (2010), Snow White and The Huntsman (2012), and Dark Shadows (2012).
Essentially, I would like to film some of the flashbacks of the main performer and her friend enjoying the facilities of the park which I will use
as memories of their time together. I would also like to be able to capture a few shots of the scenery to find suitable and successful images to
use on the album magazine advert and the Digipak.
3. BRIGHTON BEACH
If I get the opportunity, it would be great to film on Brighton Beach. The location is
fantastic for capturing some flashbacks of the two performers spending the day
together, and then of the main performer individually sitting on the beach looking out
towards the sea. It has huge stretch of pebbly beach and a fun-filled pier with great
sea views.
However, as Brighton is quite far away it may be hard to get there to film, so I may
have to use somewhere similar, like Ruislip Lido, however my main aim will be to visit
Brighton.
4. STUDIO
As I have access to the School’s drama studio and a wide range of
professional lighting equipment, I will most definitely use it to my
advantage by shooting scenes of the main performer individually. The
scenes will be quite plain however I may use a few props, like fairy
lights, candles and pictures as these scenes will show the performer
pondering on the loss of her friend and therefore will focus more on
her face and emotion rather than scenery.
