Location: Coopersale turning
Site: Forest
Address: Not applicable
Phone No: Not applicable
Contact:Not applicable
Availability: Any time
Days of the week: Mon-Sun
Times of the day: Any time
Special Arrangements: None
Miscellaneous___________________________________________________________________________
Parking: At the Coopersale shops but would involve walking down to the
turning.
Distance/time from home: 1 minute drive/ 5 minute walk
Distance/time from college: 16 minute drive/ 2 hour 10 minute walk
Power capabilities: none
Observations____________________________________________________________________________
This location is unsuitable as it is by a road so the sound will pick up the noise of
cars on the road, however for a forest it is an expanse area that is not too
crowded by trees so would allow us to film with ease and not have to worry
about falling over and putting our safety at risk. There are more trees in the
background so we could film from the road side and see the trees in the
background, giving the effect that the forest they are in is enclosed and in the
middle of nowhere, providing a sense of inevitable danger and no chance of
escape. When darkness hits it would also show deep darkness, which is connoted
to be scary. However, the scenery is of a forest is used excessively in media
filming for AS and becomes repetitive and predictable.

This is a picture of the location, as shown the
end of the forest is right beside a road which is
a main road which means the microphone
would pick up too much sound which makes
this only a candidate for shooting, which
preferably we wish not to use.

Parking: At the Pyrles Lane shops but that would involve a short walk to the
park
Distance/time from home: 15-minute drive/ 1 hour 46 minute walk
Distance/time from college: 25-minute drive/ 3 hours 21 minute walk
Power capabilities: None
Observations____________________________________________________________________________
The location is suitable because although it is by a road, it is not so close to a
road that the sound would pick up, there is street lighting however it’s not too
bright so we could end up filming in the dark. To resolve this we can use the
torches on our phones and use the night vision options on the camera. In the
background of the park there are trees to give a spook setting as the park looks
as if it leads off into a field and then a forest, it makes the area seem more
deserted. Even though there is a forest we wouldn’t use it when filming due to
the fact that with AS media coursework, the setting is too predictable.
This is a picture
of the location,
the floor is flat
in the park
preventing the
risk form falling
over and there
is a path leading
up to the area
preventing the
need to walk on
the grass and
slip. The area is
expanse and gives the opportunity to film from lots of different angles. There are
swings, which could allow us to create, and eerie creepy child feel. I like this
scenery because it seems to hold potential for a very scary film.

Sheet no 3

Location: Coopersale
Site: Park
Address: Not applicable
Phone no: Not applicable
Contact: Not applicable
Availability: Any time
Days of the week: Mon- Sun
Times of the day: Any time
Special arrangements: None
Miscellaneous___________________________________________________________________________
Parking: Right beside the park
Distance/time from home: 45 second walk
Distance/time from college: 16-minute drive/ 2 hours 10 minutes walk
Power capabilities: None
Observations____________________________________________________________________________
The location is suitable because it is not a forest and not stereotypically used by
media AS students, however the area is very open to the general public as there
is a pathway guiding around it, houses surrounding the park and a car park right
next to it, these features don’t give a spooky vibe to the park as it doesn’t seem
secluded. However there are streetlights, which illuminate the park, which
reduces how scary it is, however it makes the night vision easier to work with
and provide some light to see what we’re doing. The park is surrounded by a
green expanse of field and the forest is by houses, the houses surrounding the
park again reduces how scary the film will look as there are people obviously
living around which shows they could be saved, this also affects the plot of the
film.
The park is shaded over
by trees, which gives a
spooky effect as it gives
the feeling of being
followed and no place to
hide. The gates
surrounding the park give
the vibe of being closed in
however there is a piece
of gate missing which sort
of ruins this vibe as it
seems you can escape. I
don’t think we will use
this area, as there are too
many reasons not to.
