Your child’s class teacher will be happy to talk or arrange a time to meet. They will be able
to give you information about your child’s progress and answer any questions. The special
educational needs co-ordinator (SENCO) will be able to answer questions about specialist

Yes, offsite visits will be physically accessible for all pupils. There may be
occasions when a child is unable to participate on health and safety grounds, the
class teacher will talk to parents involved about this before the visit.

Your child’s transition to and from Avalon will be discussed with you. Visits and
sessions with new peers and staff will be offered. Social stories, with photos, will
be provided so you can support your child with their transition at home.
