LOAD :
Load is the process of tackling training and competition demands which cause
temporary disturbance of psychic and physical state of homeostasis.
(* In training ,load is not always given for improvement but also for maintenance
and stabilization of performance capacity *)
Types of load:-
We can divide load into two categories each having its own unique nature and
effect e.g. :-
1. Training load
2. Competition load
FACTORS OF LOAD :-
PHYSICAL EXERCISE :-
According to the effect of physical exercise on the performance capacity in sports
these are classified into general, special and competition exercise.
Therefore, in addition to load intensity, load volume and quality of movement
execution the exercise also has to be considered to assess the load more
accurately.
MOVEMENT QUALITY :-
The quality of movement execution in several sports has an effect on the load. In
technique and tactical training the movement quality is an important factor of
load in addition to load intensity and volume.
LOAD INTENSITY :-
Intensity of the load is the degree of effort win made by the sportsman
while doing an exercise. The degree of effort is always considered in relation
to time. It is also equated with the amount of force or energy being spent in
relation to time.
LOAD VOLUME :-
The volume of load is a total amount of work done through an exercise or in
a training session. As compared to load intensity the load volume is
comparatively easier to measure and assess.
