29. An Intensive Program is a short program of study which
involves students and teaching staff from higher education
institutions all over Europe. This IP Sports & Well-being 2016
trains future young professionals in creating relevant, smart
and sustainable products/systems/services that improve well-
being through participative dialogue, design and prototyping
with end-users, in a multidiciplinairy approach.

30. iMinds’ ICON research program is a successful formula for demand-driven,
cooperative research. Over a period of typically two years, multi-disciplinary
research teams of scientists, industry partners and/or social profit
organizations work together to develop digital solutions that find their way into
the market offer of the participating partners.

31. The ProFit Fieldlab EU-project facilitates innovation in sports infrastructure
between governments, universities and industrial companies. Within this
project, the city Kortrijk builds - in collaboration with Howest and industrial
partners - several Fieldlabs that trigger sports and movement. The target
group for the Fieldlabs in Kortrijk are seniors, families with kids and
youngsters who still move too little today.
