This document outlines a literacy and ICT mash up approach to writing instruction. It involves students choosing writing genres and goals each week. Students write pieces on a Google Site and provide feedback to writing buddies. They also Skype weekly with their buddies to further develop their writing skills through discussion. The Google Site and Skype sessions allow for collaborative writing and feedback between students. Both students and teachers find the approach engaging and helpful for improving writing skills.

2 iPads = 2 students composing their recount
onto the Google Site using the iPad.
Timeframe Mon - Thurs
Thurs - Fri students read work written by their
buddy and complete feedback form, making
specific links to learning intention - WALT.

7. Skype Friday
Every Friday the students who have been the
Super Writers for the week will organise their
Skype session while classroom instruction
continues.
