How to use Linkedin as a recruiter?
Step by step
1.        Make your own profile: fill out as much as possible with a picture to make it more personal
2.        Upgrade your profile
       1.        Get recommendations: http://www.linkedin.com/recRequests?cor=&goback=%2Eprf_en*4US
          2.          Have a public profile with your name in the url: http://www.linkedin.com/myprofile?editwp=
          3.          Get your profile search engine optimised: choose max. 3 relevant keywords and try to use as often as possible in your profile
          example:

3.             Find your friends/workmates/former classmates etc. – with People You May Know function
4.
               Connect with all of your current workmates to reach a wider network. Make benefit out of the real, professional recruitment network of Randstad.

     1.             Build a network
     2.             Join and create groups
                      a. choose a unique and relevant topic / theme (in connection with the creator's specialized area)
                      b. set rules for application and behaviour and keep them consequently
                      b. invite your online Linkedin connections by giving them an incentive (relevant discussions, market information, providing them a good
                      platform to connect other professionals from their area to discuss concrete professional issues)
                      c. invite all relevant candidates who you meet personally (during interviews, events)
                      d. manage the group daily
                      e. „invite only” type of groups are more attractive – gives exclusivity
                      f. don’t let irrelevant applicants join the group
                      f. organise personal networking events for the group members regularly
                      g. create specialised subgroups by sub segments in the group to make it even more attractive

      2.         Post jobs in your groups

      2.          Add to your network: always send a personalized message, research the profile, find common
                 things, start the message with that
