LinkedIn Strategies For Driving Business
Driving business to your LinkedIn page is a great way to generate leads.
Developing a strategy that works on LinkedIn’s platform is slightly different
than other platforms and the audience is too. With that in mind, here are
some ways you can optimize your LinkedIn page.
Make sure your team is onboard.
If your employees blog for your business, have them share their new blogs on their
personal page and link it to your LinkedIn business page.
Instead of just copying the blog into the post, just write a highlight of the blog and
remember to leave them wanting more.
Invest time in making a great photos.
Quality photos are easy to get now. Investing some of your resources into getting
quality photos for your profile will reflect how serious you are about your business.
Also, make sure that you use a friendly layout if you plan to incorporate a few things in
your image.
Write a call to action.
Be specific about what you want them to do. If you want them to call your place of
business, say so. Always keep your audience in mind and try and entice them with an
offer they can’t resist!
Copy is key.
Your copy should match your brand voice. Don’t have a brand voice? It’s time to
develop one. This will be a potential client’s first impression of your business and
should convey your business’s personality.
Include Keywords on your page for
optimization.
Just like how your website includes keywords to rank higher in search engine results,
your LinkedIn profile should as well. This allows people to search for services you
provide easily.
Post at least once a week.
You want people to know that your business is active because it builds credibility.
Posting once a week, not matter how simple it is, will let people and other businesses
know that you are open and ready. However, make sure each post is quality.
Keeping your profile up-to-date and filled with relevant information will keep your
customers happy. This would include adding a new service, moving to a new place, or
gearing up for a special event.
Maintain your brand voice.
The same voice from post-to-post or post-to-copy will build your credibility, create a
cohesive campaign, and grow your brand voice. One thing to keep in mind is that
LinkedIn profiles are professional, so what works for a Facebook brand voice might
not work here.
Make regular profile updates.
Join groups.
Groups are a great way to find potential leads and generate more interest in your
business. When posting and interacting in a group, try to make your posts 80%
business related news and 20% selling your services. Also, comment on other posts in
the group.
Create your own group.
Invite employees, clients, potential clients, and other people/businesses who may be
interested in your services to join your group. You can monitor conversations and
highlight your company's blogs and news.
Taking the time to keep your business’s profile up-to-date and
optimized will create a better return than leaving it alone.

  • 2. Driving business to your LinkedIn page is a great way to generate leads. Developing a strategy that works on LinkedIn’s platform is slightly different than other platforms and the audience is too. With that in mind, here are some ways you can optimize your LinkedIn page.
  • 3. Make sure your team is onboard. If your employees blog for your business, have them share their new blogs on their personal page and link it to your LinkedIn business page. Instead of just copying the blog into the post, just write a highlight of the blog and remember to leave them wanting more. Invest time in making a great photos. Quality photos are easy to get now. Investing some of your resources into getting quality photos for your profile will reflect how serious you are about your business. Also, make sure that you use a friendly layout if you plan to incorporate a few things in your image.
  • 4. Write a call to action. Be specific about what you want them to do. If you want them to call your place of business, say so. Always keep your audience in mind and try and entice them with an offer they can’t resist! Copy is key. Your copy should match your brand voice. Don’t have a brand voice? It’s time to develop one. This will be a potential client’s first impression of your business and should convey your business’s personality.
  • 5. Include Keywords on your page for optimization. Just like how your website includes keywords to rank higher in search engine results, your LinkedIn profile should as well. This allows people to search for services you provide easily. Post at least once a week. You want people to know that your business is active because it builds credibility. Posting once a week, not matter how simple it is, will let people and other businesses know that you are open and ready. However, make sure each post is quality.
  • 6. Keeping your profile up-to-date and filled with relevant information will keep your customers happy. This would include adding a new service, moving to a new place, or gearing up for a special event. Maintain your brand voice. The same voice from post-to-post or post-to-copy will build your credibility, create a cohesive campaign, and grow your brand voice. One thing to keep in mind is that LinkedIn profiles are professional, so what works for a Facebook brand voice might not work here. Make regular profile updates.
  • 7. Join groups. Groups are a great way to find potential leads and generate more interest in your business. When posting and interacting in a group, try to make your posts 80% business related news and 20% selling your services. Also, comment on other posts in the group. Create your own group. Invite employees, clients, potential clients, and other people/businesses who may be interested in your services to join your group. You can monitor conversations and highlight your company's blogs and news.
