A Brief History
• “The Nation’s Oldest Caterpillar Dealer”
• Established in 1914 as Yancey Hardware Company
by Goodloe and Earle.
• Brought “tractors” to Georgia by selling Holt and Best
tractors to counties and municipalities in the early
1920’s.
• Became Caterpillar’s 1st dealership in 1925.
• “Cradle to Grave” business model – as apposed to
“transactional”.
• Over 925 employees
• 5 business divisions and 41 operational facilities
working out of 19 Georgia locations.
