Explanation and Analysis of STaR Chart Data Key Area I: Teaching and Learning STaR Classification – Developing Tech Teachers use technology for direct instruction and to support content objectives Teachers are aware of Technology Application (TA) TEKS and include technology skills in planning and implementing instruction. Students use technology to access, communicate and present information.

Explanation and Analysis of STaR Chart Data Key Area II: Educator Preparation and Development Start Classification – Developing Tech Teachers have completed professional development on the integration of technology for their content area with at least 9-18 hours of technology-related professional development. Teachers can demonstrate two to three SBEC TA Standards.
7. Explanation and Analysis of STaR Chart Data Key Area III: Leadership, Administration, & Instruction STaR Classification – Advanced Tech Campus leadership develops a shared vision. Campus has several technology goals and objectives incorporated in the Campus Improvement Plan. Campus provides regular instructional support for use of technology. Campus uses technology for communication and collaboration.
8. Key Area IV: Infrastructure for Technology Direct connectivity to the internet available in at least 50% of the rooms. Dedicated computer per educator with shared use of technologies including: digital cameras, flash drives, portable digital devices, and interactive white boards. 9. Recommendations Teaching and Learning Increase student-centered learning experiences. Incorporate technology into instruction. 10. Recommendations Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support Incorporate more collaborative, technology-rich goals and objectives into the Campus Improvement Plan. Enhance the types of media formats used to communicate, interact, and collaborate with all educational stakeholders. Infrastructure for Technology Research avenues to increase the number of available computers for student use. Continue to work towards making wireless connectivity available to all classrooms.
11. Summary/Conclusion Lincoln is currently classified as Developing Tech in three out of four key areas. Administrators, leaders, and teachers must continue to collaborate and share ideas on how to further improve our campus classifications. We must generate ideas and strategies that will enhance classroom instruction and incorporate the use of technology. We must provide and attend professional development training geared towards technology implementation. Finally, we must work with our campus and district technology specialist to ensure that all teachers are comfortable enough with technology to use it in their classrooms.
