§ More than 30 years with a variety of projects in the offshore and onshore oil and gas,
LNG, refinery, petrochemical, sugar and power industries, while associated with either
engineering, or an operating firm.
§ As a Rotating Equipment Engineer, Mr. Larramendi has been involved in all technical
matters related to large compressor trains, mostly centrifugal and reciprocating types,
gas seal design retrofitting, steam and gas turbines engineering, centrifugal and
reciprocating pumps, gear sets and electric motor drivers.
§ As part of his professional work, he has witnessed and/or reviewed and accepted
mechanical and performance testing, analog and digital analysis of reciprocating
compressors, evaluated rotordynamic performance and vibration analysis, and has
been responsible for commissioning and start up of all kind of complex rotating
machinery in various projects.
§ Assigned in 1991 to PDVSA Venezuela, on loan from Foster Wheeler, and for 4 years,
Mr. Larramendi managed the 400,000 barrels/day Cardon Refinery Machinery Group,
responsible for the in-house projects, machinery reliability, engineering and
maintenance consulting of the entire refinery rotating equipment inventory. He had
staff of 10 mechanical engineers and 8 rotating equipment technicians (equipment
inspectors).

• Assigned as Machinery Consultant for all of the ExxonMobil Upstream USA
projects. Main projects were as follow:
ü SOLAR SATURN Turbo-compressor retrofit at one of the Gulf ExxonMobil
Mobile Bay offshore platform. Performance test (PTC-10), Mechanical API
testing and final acceptance of the new compressor replacement at the
SOLAR Mabank TX facilities.
ü Implemented Nine (9) SATURN SOLAR Turbo-compressor retrofits at the
modernization project of the Hawkins Gas Plant, TX.
ü 4 large motor driven - centrifugal multicase compressor trains – 18,000 Hp
to 9,000 HP - and several other compressor and pump services for an
ExxonMobil Gas plant modernization in Hawkins, TX.
ü 20,000 HP high pressure CO2 Compressor train for LaBarge Wyoming.

Jacobs Engineering / Principal Mechanical Engineering – 2004 -2006
• Assigned as Turbomachinery Consultant Mechanical Engineer of all the Premcor
Projects for their 4 refineries in Lima Ohio, Memphis Tennessee, Port Arthur Texas
and Delaware City DE. Modernization and expansion plans for the 4 refineries included
new Diesel Hydrotreaters, and various other process unit upgrades. The list of
machinery equipment for the 4 refineries included several large centrifugal compressor
trains and large reciprocating compressors. Overall cost of the Premcor Project was

estimated at $600-700 MM.
Foster Wheeler - Principal Mechanical Engineer – 1998 To 2004
• Assigned as Lead Mechanical Engineer of all the Premcor Projects for their 3 refineries
in Lima Ohio, Memphis Tennessee, and Port Arthur Texas. Modernization and
expansion plans for the 3 refineries included new Diesel Hydrotreaters, FCCU’s
revamps, and various process unit upgrades. The list of machinery equipment for the 3
refineries included several centrifugal compressor trains, large reciprocating
compressors, and an extensive list of all kind and size of process and utility pumps.
• Completed the Sunoco’s Clean Fuel Projects for their 3 refineries: Philadelphia, and
Marcus Hook in Pennsylvania, and Toledo, Ohio. Lead Mechanical Engineer
responsible for directing the rotating equipment specialty effort for the project, including
preparing the inquiry packages of the three (3) motor driven H2 centrifugal
compressors (9,000 HP), various refrigeration units, several process pumps and other
machinery related to the job. He had a staff of 4 mechanical engineers. Overall project
cost was estimated at $200 MM.
• Completed the Premcor Refining Group’s Clean Fuels Projects for various oil
refineries. As Lead Mechanical Engineer, he was in charge of all aspects of rotating
equipment detailed engineering for the project. His work included writing the job
specifications and inquiry requisitions, evaluation of the vendor bids, and detailed
engineering of critical rotating equipment, as well as small size machinery. He
attended the test programs at various vendors’ facilities and consulted with the
construction team on the commissioning of the large hydrogen compressor trains at
the 2 job sites: Port Arthur, TX and Lima, OH. Overall project cost was higher than
$400 MM.
• Engineering, procurement, and construction management services for the
development of the Dacion Gas Field in Venezuela for LASMO de Venezuela.
Upstream equipment included large gas engine driven reciprocating gas compressors,
various injection multistage pumps, as well as smaller size pumps and drivers. Overall
project cost was $250 MM.
• Responsible for specifying, selecting, engineering, shop testing and final acceptance at
the vendor’s test facilities the critical H2 reciprocating compressors (8,000 HP) and
other various pieces of equipment for the Delayed Coker and Hydrotreater projects in
Beaumont Texas, for Premcor Refining Inc. Project cost was $300 MM.
Stone & Webster – Senior Titled Principal Mech. Engineer – 1995 to 1998
• Lead Mechanical Engineer for the Mobil Chemicals Expansion Project in Beaumont
Texas. Responsible for the selection, engineering, vendor coordination and shop
testing, commissioning and start-up consulting of all the rotating equipment for the
project, which included critical large Cracked Gas, Ethylene and Propylene
compression trains, process API and general service machinery. He managed a staff
of 4 mechanical engineers. Project cost was $300 MM.
Foster Wheeler USA - PDVSA’s Cardon Oil Refinery - Chief Rotating Equipment
Engineer - Venezuela – 1992 To 1995
• On loan by Foster Wheeler USA, he functioned as Chief Rotating Equipment Engineer
at the PDVSA – Maraven Cardon Oil Refinery (Capacity 400,000 barrels/day), where
he managed the engineering group, responsible for the in-house projects, machinery
reliability, engineering and maintenance consulting of the entire refinery rotating
equipment. He had staff of 10 mechanical engineers and 8 rotating equipment
technicians (equipment inspectors).
Stone & Webster - Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer – 1988 To 1992

Burns & McDonnell - Chief Mechanical Engineer – 1983 To 1988
• On loan to Lummus-Crest, completed the engineering to various large pieces of
machinery for offshore platforms for ONGC – INDIA, including several HISPANO-
SUIZA gas turbines.
• At Burns and McDonnell Inc. Kansas City Missouri. Worked on various important
projects on oil refineries, chemical plants and power plants in projects with a cost each
higher than $50 MM.
• He wrote the specifications and was Lead Mechanical Engineer for the first
Compressed Air Storage Plant (CAES) in USA. Project estimated cost: $150 MM.
Fluor Inc. - Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer – 1980 To 1983
• In charge of the selection, engineering and project integrating of most of the large
rotating equipment for various Texaco projects: Convent and Port Arthur oil Refineries.
Project cost $300 MM.
• He was also Lead Mechanical Engineer on the Monsanto Project - Pensacola Plant.
Total estimated project cost was $150 MM.
